Hello February!
It appears that things are looking up in the safelist world. Activity at Mister Safelist is higher than it has been in the past year and all of the other top mailers that I use are doing nicely as well. It’s good to see the industry bounce back after a rough couple of months.
In sad news we did lose a great owner last month and someone that most of us who have been marketing for a long time will recognize. Louise Cardow was the owner of TWE-Safelist and she will be very much missed.
On to the stats…
The way this works is that I use about 40-50 different safelists and mailers to promote lead capture pages for my own Safelist Marketing Tactics ebook. The “Signups” are people who have chosen to opt-in to my list and have confirmed their email address. These signups all come from using the “credit mailer” on the site and do not include the use of banner ads or login ads. I do need to point out that I am upgraded at many of these sites and do spend time every day reading other member emails to earn credits. Due to time constraints I don’t test every safelist in existence and many mailers are rotated in and out depending on how effective they are at any given time. My own Mister Safelist is not included in this list but it should be assumed at all times that Mister Safelist is awesome.
Total January Sign-ups: 81
In case you missed it you can now build your downlines in these programs if you are a member of Mister Safelist. Check out this post for more details.
That’s all for this month. As usual these stats are only provided to show what advertising sites are currently working best for me. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to know for sure is to track your own ads! You can get the same link tracker that I use from trck.me.

Happy New Year!
2016 is done. Last year tried it’s best to stop us but safelists are still proving to be one of the best ways for online marketers to generate free/cheap traffic to our websites that actually converts!
In personal news I am back to doing this full time. For the past few years I have been somewhat distracted by a part-time offline job, which was a lot of fun but not very good for my online business. That is no longer the case. Now I have plenty of time to focus on this business in 2017.
With that said I have something really cool to announce later this week that will give you a new way to take advantage of my monthly safelist stats. I’ll post an update here when that is ready.
Speaking of stats…
The stats below are the top results from my marketing efforts in December. I currently use 40-50 different mailers every day (or as often as I can) to promote squeeze pages for my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics. The “Signups” below show how many people have confirmed their email address after opting in to my list. I do have an upgraded membership at most of the mailers which often allows me to send my ads more often to more members. However, I do spend a lot of time every month reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads.
Total December Sign-Ups: 83
Pretty similar to my stats from November which were also very good. Further proof that safelists are still going strong moving into 2017.
As always please keep in mind that these stats are the results of my own marketing efforts and are only provided to show was is currently working best for me. What sites work best for you might be something entirely different and depends on your own efforts and what you are promoting. The only way to know which sites work best for you is to track your own results. You can get the exact same tracking tools that I use by joining trck.me.

Dec
Welcome to December!
Well, we are still here. With everything that has been going on in the industry lately I thought I would have a lot more news to report but everything seems to be relatively quiet. Most of the bigger sites seem to be adapting well to the change in payment processors and I haven’t noticed any sites shutting down yet. Traffic seems to be down slightly but sign-ups are still coming in strong.
Now without further ado… here’s some stats from last month.
Just in case this is your first time here I regularly submit my ads to 40-50 different safelists and viral list builders. I am currently promoting lead capture pages that promote my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics. The “Sign Ups” below reflect how many people have chosen to opt-in to my list and verified their email address. I do have upgraded memberships at a lot of these sites which allow to me to send my ads more often but I do still spend a lot of time reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads. I don’t use every mailer out there but I do often cycle out less responsive lists to try new ones.
Total November Sign-ups: 83
I’m super impressed that Mailsy has been able to hang on to the #1 spot for two months in a row. Everything else seems to fit in right where I would expect them to.
As usual the stats above are the results of my own marketing efforts and are provided only to show what is currently working best for me. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to know what works best for you is to track your own stats. Nov
Welcome to November!
No major launches to report from last month but there has been a good amount of drama lately.
If you haven’t heard the news a certain popular payment processor (i’m too afraid to even invoke their name here) has gone on the warpath and started suspending the owners of popular traffic exchanges and safelists. Since most owners depend of this service to accept payments for their business this could have devastating long term effects on our industry.
I’ve taken some steps on my sites to try and keep out of their crosshairs but only time will tell what is going to happen next.
In the mean time I still have plenty of stats to share with you this month.
The stats below come from the 40-50 safelists and viral list mailers that I use every day to promote my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics. I use these safelists to advertise squeeze pages for my book. “Signups” are people who have chosen to opt-in to my list and have confirmed their email address. While there are many other safelists out there these are the ones I use. These stats show only the number of new subscribers received by using the “credit mailer” and do not include and banner or login ads. I like to point out that I am upgraded at most of these sites and spend a lot of time reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads. My own Mister Safelist does not appear on this list because that would be weird.
Total October Sign-Ups: 89
Much better than the last few months.
Mailsy is the new site from Brian Zens that launched at the end of September.
Please note that the stats above are provided only to show which mailers are currently working best for me. What works best for you might be something entirely different. Howdy Marketers!
Do you like safelists?
What a coincidence. Me too!
I like safelists so much that on the first day of every month I put on my blogging hat and try to come up with something original to write about the current state of safelists.
In addition to sharing my monthly safelist stats I also like to shine a spotlight on any new safelists that have launched during the previous month that are worth joining.
The new recommended safelist this month is Mailsy from Brian Zens. Brian is the admin and support rep for some of the most popular safelists around so he definitely knows what he is doing. Mailsy just launched last week so if you haven’t done so yet do check it out.
Do you like safelist stats?
For the past month I have been using my daily safelist mailings to promote squeeze pages for my book Safelist Marketing Tactics. These stats are generated from using only the credit mailers and do not include login ads or banners ads or anything like that. I should point out that I am upgraded at most of these sites and spend time every day reading emails to earn credits. I currently submit to 40-50 different safelists. I don’t use every safelist out there and I am constantly updating that list based on my advertising results. I provide these stats only to show what is currently working best for me. Your results may vary.

Welcome to September!
I’m excited.
Whether or not you believe the “summer slowdown” is real or not that time is coming to an end. As we move into September I know this is about the time I start to see an increase in activity of my own business. It’s the perfect opportunity to step up productivity and start getting some new ads ready for advertising on safelists.
Speaking of safelists… I screwed up. Well, not really me. In July I changed up my advertising from promoting splash plages for Mister Safelist to promoting lead capture pages for Safelist Marketing Tactics. I usually get much better results promoting lead capture pages in safelists but that wasn’t the case last month.
It turns out my tracking link wasn’t working properly. It recorded all of my traffic correctly but it wasn’t tracking my sign-ups. I didn’t figure this out until August was nearly half over.
So while my stats are better this month I am still only pulling from about 3 weeks of data.
Here’s what they look like:
Total August (partial) Sign-ups: 54
Hopefully I will have a full month of data to pull from for next month. Until then, don’t forget that these stats are the result of my own advertising efforts and are provided to show was is currently working best for me. To find out what works best for you I recommend tracking your own ads. You can get a free trial of the same link tracker I use when you join trck.me.

Aug
Hello August!
I decided to mix things up again last month. I had been using all of my safelist advertising credits to promote splash pages for my own Mister Safelist. My stats had been slipping over the last few months so I decided to switch back to promoting squeeze pages for my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics which historically generates more sign-ups for me.
I typically use anywhere from 40-50 safelists throughout the month. I don’t use every mailer out there and I am constantly weeding out ones that do not perform well for me. I am using these sites to promote lead capture pages for my own Safelist Marketing Tactics ebook. The number of sign-ups received is how many people have subscribed to my list and confirmed their email address through the pages I am adverting. I am upgraded at many of these sites and do spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads. Note that my own Mister Safelist does not appear in these stats because that would be weird.
Here’s my stats from last month…
Total July sign-ups: 40
Don’t forget that the stats above are the result of my own efforts and are only provided to show what is currently working best for me with what I am advertising. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to know what sites work best for you is to track your own ads. Jul
Welcome to July!
June was a fairly quiet month. I put a lot of my focus towards working on my list building ebook which I am happy to say is finally finished (for now). With that complete I am back to focusing on safelists.
Unfortunately my stats from last month were pretty weak. For the past few months I have been using all of my safelist mailing to promote my own Mister Safelist. I think now it’s time to switch back to building my list which is what has always brought me the best results.
So here’s last month’s stats…
As usual the stats below come from the 40-50 safelists and viral list mailers that I have been using every day to promote Mister Safelist. The “Signups” are how many people who have joined through my ads and verified their accounts. I am upgraded at many of these sites and do spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads. Note that my own Mister Safelist does not appear in these stats because that would be weird. These stats are provided only to show what is currently working best for me.
Total June Signups: 37
Keep in mind that the stats above were generated using my own ads and are the result of my own marketing efforts. I am upgraded at most of these sites and spend time almost every day reading emails to earn credits. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to know for sure is to track your own ads. You can get the same link tracking tools that I use from trck.me.

Happy June!
As we move into the “summer slowdown” season it’s time to kick up your advertising to make sure your advertising is being shown everywhere for the next few months.
A few new mailers launched last month that are worth checking out.
The first is from the great Frank Salinas called “No Marketer Left Behind“. It’s a weird name and not the flashiest looking site but Frank definitely knows a few things about marketing which means this one should grow pretty quick. I’m already seeing great results here after only doing a few sends.
The other big launch was “The Ultimate Mailer” from Nina Nestoroff and Lisa McCormick. This one just launched last week so not a lot of stats to share yet but I expect to see good things from these two.
And now my stats…
The way this works is that I use about 40-50 different safelists and mailers to promote my own site called “
Mister Safelist“. I track the number of new verified members I received from each of the mailers below. These signups all come from using the “credit mailer” on the site and do not include the use of banner ads or login ads. I do like to point out that I am upgraded at many of these sites and do spend time every day reading other member emails to earn credits. Due to time constraints I don’t test every safelist in existence and many mailers are rotated in and out depending on how effective they are at any given time. My own
Mister Safelist is not included in this list but it should be assumed at all times that
Mister Safelist is awesome.
* as of 5/17
Total May Signups: 53
I switched back to promoting Mister Safelist in April. Those stats weren’t as good but now that my ads having been running for awhile things are picking back up again. Still not as good as when I was only promoting lead capture pages but for a membership site I think being able to bring in 53 new members using only safelists is pretty good.
That’s all for this month. As usual these stats are only provided to show what advertising sites are currently working best for me. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to know for sure is to track your own ads! You can get the same link tracker that I use from trck.me.

May
Welcome to May!
I did something a little different last month. For the past year I have been using all of my safelist postings to promote squeeze pages for my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics. Last month I decided go back to just promoting Mister Safelist directly.
As you can see from my stats below the number of sign-ups I received were just about cut in half. Not a big surprise. Clearly a unique squeeze page which just asks people for a name and email address is going to be easier to get sign-ups to than asking people to register at yet another safelist. While I think Mister Safelist is awesome there still isn’t much out there that compares to Safelist Marketing Tactics so it’s much easier to get sign-ups there.
Still, I think 30+ sign-ups in a month to a safelist that launched years ago is pretty good. I’ll probably keep it up for at least another month before switching back.
As far as new launches go, last month saw the release of List Impact from the Kolijn brothers. Traffic has been good so far. If you haven’t joined yet it’s definitely worth checking out.
Here’s the stats…
This month I used all of my safelist credit emails to promote Mister Safelist. I am rotating a few different splash pages along with the home page of the site. I use 40-50 different safelists and mailers but only show the top ones below. There are many safelists out there that I don’t use and I often swap out less effective mailers with other ones. I do have upgraded memberships at most of these sites and spend a good amount of time clicking emails to earn credits.
Total April Sign-ups: 34
Keep in mind that the stats above were the results of my own my own marketing efforts and are provided here to show what is currently working best for me. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to know what sites work best for you is to track your own results. You can get the same link tracker that I use for my ads from trck.me.
