How To Advertise Lead Capture Pages

Welcome to November!

Is 2008 really almost over?

Sorry I haven’t updated for a bit. I spent the last few days riding around Missouri in the back of a van doing light shows for one of my favorite bands. Halloween shows are always lots of fun but to be honest I am just happy to be home working again.

For the past few months I have been using many of the techniques that Soren Jordansen has laid out in his Internet Marketing Success Formula to build a profitable email list using free information products.  If you want to know one of the best ways to make money on the Internet then you should really read his book.

Anyways, I have been sharing some of the best places I have found to advertise lead capture pages that I use to build my list. To see my results from previous months click here.

Unfortunately I was on the road a lot at the end of October and I didn’t get stats for the last few days so this month’s stats might be slightly lower than they should be.

As usual I am using Hits Connect to track how many sign-ups I am getting from my lead capture pages.

Traffic Exchanges
1. ts25 – 16
2. Traffic Splash – 10

I actually spent a lot less time surfing for credits this month than usual so I didn’t bother listing the exchanges that only got me a few sign-ups.  The 26 sign-ups I received from ts25 and Traffic Splash actually came from credits I had left over from previous months.  Isn’t residual traffic great?

Safelists
1. ListJoe – 81
2. FreeSafelistMailer – 13
3. AdSolution – 12
4. List Auction – 9
5. Elite Safelist -7

Wow!  ListJoe continues to perform way above my expectations for a safelist. I did purchase the upgraded membership but with those kinds of stats it is worth every penny!  If you aren’t already a member join ListJoe now!

Text Ad Exchanges
1. Traffic Swarm – 51
2. Muscle Mail – 28
3. Ad Exchangers – 25
4. Maple Ads – 7
4. Elephant Text Ad Exchange – 6

Once again Traffic Swarm dominates the text ad exchanges but there are many newer sites which are proving to be very effect for advertising lead capture pages.  Check them out!

I should also mention that I participated in my very first JV Giveaway to advertise my lead capture page f and I was very happy with the results.  I received 39 sign-ups even though I got in really late.  If you have a free product to give away and want to advertise your lead capture page in the next big give away event then check out IM Dream Team asap!  It’s free to join and is a great way to get a lot of exposure for your lead capture page.

Of course these numbers are all from my own testing and your results may vary.  If you are doing any kind of online advertising you need to track your own stats. That’s why I recommend HitConnect for tracking all of your sign-ups.  Get your own HitConnect trackers by clicking the link below.

The Best Places to Advertise Your Squeeze Page

Another month down and another month of advertising stats to share with you.

September was actually a pretty rough month.  One of the lights that I use in my light show died and I had to replace it.  People are always shocked to find out how much nice concert lights cost.  I also had to replace the video card in my computer.  Those two purchases completely emptied out my PayPal account which didn’t leave much room for advertising.  Thankfully I made a few good investments at the start of the month so I am working my way back up.

Most of my traffic is still coming from traffic exchanges, text ad exchanges, and safelists which I am using to promote my Traffic Success Formula ebook.  Here’s the splash page I am promoting: http://www.trafficsuccessformula.com/splash01.htm

I am tracking with HitConnect because HitConnect rocks!

Here’s where most of my sign-ups came from during the month of September…

Traffic Exchanges
1. ts25 – 14
2. Traffic Splash – 12
3. Dragon Surf – 7
4. BootScootin’Traffic – 7
5. Royal Surf – 5

Not much changed there since last month except BootScootin’Traffic and Royal Surf made it into the top 5.

Safelists
1. ListJoe – 61
2. Got Safelist? – 12
3. Global Safelist – 10
4. AdSolution – 9
5. FreeSafelistMailer – 8

AdSolution dropped a little bit this month and I should also point out that I went with pro memberships at Global Safelist, Got Safelist?, and ListJoe.

Check out ListJoe.  Are you kidding me?  61 sign-ups from a safelist?  Granted the upgrade at ListJoe isn’t cheap but with 61 new sign-ups it was well worth the investment.  If you aren’t a member of ListJoe yet, go join and make sure you take advantage of the special offer you will see when you sign-up.

Text Ad Exchanges
1. Traffic Swarm – 20
2. Muscle Mail – 11
3. Ad Exchangers – 6
4. Elephant Text Ad Exchange – 6

Nothing new here.  Traffic Swarm continues to dominate the text ad exchange world even though it isn’t quite the same as the others.  I have been very pleased with the results I continue to receive from Muscle Mail and Ad ExchangersElephant Text Ad Exchange is new to the list but was just bubbling under last month.

My budget for October is starting out a little light.  I might cancel my ts25 upgrade for a few weeks and live off of the thousands of credits I have earned over the last 2 months.  Will absolutely upgrade at ListJoe again.  61 sign-ups!  Crazy.

As before you should keep in mind that these are my personal stats and the results you receive may not be the same. Also, I am not saying these are the only places worth advertising. These are just some of the places that I tried last month which worked best for me.

Know of some better sites I should be advertising on?  Feel free to submit them in a comment.

The Best Places to Advertise – The Numbers Don’t Lie

Happy September!

I started last month by writing a post about all sorts of paid advertising sources I was going to try out during the month of August. To read that post you can click here.  I thought I would review some of those sites today and decide where I want to spend some of my advertising dollars this month.

One of the sites I joined last month was HitConnect which is a popular link tracker service. I have been using free link trackers for years but the big advantage of using HitConnect to track my ads is the ability to track the number of sign-ups I received from each of my ads. As you will see below, that is a huge feature that most other trackers are lacking.

HitConnect was well worth the investment and I plan to keep my subscription going there for quite awhile.

I also bought the List Builder Mega Pack from Advertising Know How for $60.  The list builder adds opt-in subscribers to your autoresponder automatically.  So far I have received 20 new subscribers to my list and I have only used up about 1/3 of my credits.  I cancelled my subscription until all of my credits are used up.  I will report again when they are all used up but it looks like it was a really good value.

I bought 12,000 hits to my squeeze page from TE Blaster.  I have recevied a little more than half of the traffic so far and have received 11 new sign-ups.  Not bad but somewhat expensive.  I will wait until I receive the rest of my hits before I decide if it is worth buying again.

Finally, I bought a Platinum upgrade at TS25 traffic exchange for $25.  That seems to have been the best investment.  Yes, I had to surf a lot to take advantage of it but I generated 22 sign-ups during the month of August and I still have several thousand credits waiting to be used.  Naturally, I just renewed my membership for at least another month.

Here are some of the top sites I used during the month of August along with the number of sign-ups I received from my Traffic Success Formula squeeze page found at: http://www.trafficsuccessformula.com/splash01.htm

Traffic Exchanges
1. ts25 – 22
2. TE Blaster – 11
3. Traffic Splash – 10
4. ILoveHits – 6
5. Dragon Surf – 5

Safelists
1. AdSolution – 20
2. ListJoe – 15
3. FreeSafelistMailer – 8
4. AdTactics – 6
5. Elite Safelist – 5

AdSolution never fails to impress me. If they had a pro option I would buy it in a second. Until then I will be content with all the free sign-ups they are bringing me every month.

Text Ad Exchanges
1. Ad Exchangers – 20
2. Muscle Mail – 16
3. Traffic Swarm – 15
4. Mega-Traffic – 5
5. My Daily List Builder – 5

People are really missing the boat when it comes to trying out these new free text ad exchanges. I should really say those results are just from the first 3 weeks of August because I didn’t post any ads last week.

Traffic Swarm is sort of it’s own thing but I included it here anyways.

Please note that these are my personal results and the results you receive may not be the same.  Also, I am not saying these are the only places worth advertising.  These are just some of the places that I tried last month which worked best for me.

Free Advertising is Good, Paid Advertising is Better

Happy August!

It’s the start of a new month and time for me to start some new advertising campaigns.

I have been holding off on doing any new advertising for a few weeks.  Last month I got a really good deal on about a dozen pro memberships on some of the top traffic exchanges.  It seems like every time I upgrade on a traffic exchange I ending surfing twice as much so I can feel like I am getting my money’s worth.  That’s where most of my time has been spent last month.

Today I decided it was time to dip into my PayPal account and spend some of the money I made last month.  Here’s what I got…

Advertising Know How: List Builder Mega Pack $60 – I started using AKH’s free list builder in June and have been very happy with it.  I’ve been hearing good things from people who have bought list builder credits so I thought I would give it a try.  Looking forward to seeing how many sign-ups I can get in the next 30 days.

HitsConnect: Partner Membership $12 – I have put off getting a HitsConnect membership for awhile since I have been using free link trackers for years.  However, HitsConnect has a few cool features I have been wanting like the ability to track sign-ups so I figured i’d give it a shot.  Looks good so far.  The fun part was changing my urls in 50+ traffic exchanges.  I better like it because I don’t feel like changing them all back if I decide to quit.  Maybe that’s why it is so popular.  Hmmm…

TE Blaster: Mega Blast $90 – My first advertising co-op!  Seems a little expensive to me but it’s all part of my master plan to get more traffic while doing less work.  I’ll be tracking the results with HitsConnect so i’ll know next month if it was worth the money.

TS25: Platinum Membership $25 – I have been neglecting TS25 for awhile.  I think it’s one of the best traffic exchanges around but I also think it’s only worth surfing if you surf it a lot.  The way I see it, if I am going to spend that much time on a traffic exchange, I might as well go with a premium membership.  Look for me on the leader board starting next week.

ebay: Pioneer DV-C503 $40 – Ok, this isn’t directly related to advertising.  My dvd player died 2 months ago and I’ve been watching movies with my ps2 since then which kinda sucks.  I found the exact same model of my old 5-disc player on ebay today for $40 shipped so I grabbed it.  Figured I deserved to spend a little money on something fun.

That’s it for today.  I still have some money left over to buy a bunch of solo ads.  I’ll worry about that next week.
