The Top 10 Safelists for 2021

Author: Jerry Iannucci

I have been actively involved in safelist marketing since 2007 and have been sharing my monthly stats here since 2008.  Below is a list of what I consider to be the best safelists for 2021.

This is my first time doing a yearly top 10 list.  What I did was I went back through all of my stats from 2020 and compiled all of the data from all of my ad campaigns and ranked them by the total number of conversions I received from them over the year.
These stats came from a combination of lead capture pages that I used to build my list as well as splash pages that I used to promote my own safelist.  Some of the campaigns were good.  Some were not.  I just lumped everything together here to hopefully give a fair example of what the average user could expect.
While all of the safelists below do offer free memberships I often try to buy upgrades when I can afford them.  I also do spend some time most days reading ads from other members so that i can earn enough credits to send my ads to the maximum number of people as often as possible.
Here we go!
Mister Safelist is my baby.  I have owned and operated it since 2011.  It’s a bit of a cheat putting it at the top of this list but since I don’t test it the way I do other safelists there is no way for me to know exactly where it would rank.  I do promote it constantly to bring in new members and while activity remains high I am always looking for new ways to make it better.  After you join all of the sites below I would love to have you join and tell me what you think.

#1 – European Safelist – Hits: 79,628  Sign-ups: 76

European Safelist continues it’s reign at the top of the online safelist charts.   Launched in 2007 with over 16,000 members if you’re looking to get your ads seen fast this is one of the best places to do it.  Upgraded memberships are super cheap and well worth the cost for the ability to send your ads every day.  Highly recommended!

#2 – State Of The Art Mailer – Hits: 32,853  Sign-ups: 47
Email Marketing Evolved!

State Of The Art Mailer uses a unique “button escalation” system that allows you to increase the number of members you can mail by looking at ads.  Free members can reach 500 members every 7 days but can increase that to 3,000 members with their credits.  Upgrades allow you to jump up to higher button levels and email every 3 days.  The top level button upgrades aren’t cheap but even the low levels work great for the number of mails you can send.  This is just a fantastic site that never fails to impress me with how active it’s members are.  Highly recommended!

#3 – ViralURL – Hits: 1,610  Sign-ups: 34

ViralURL specializes in offering advanced shortening, cloaking, and link tracking services.  I don’t really care about any of those things.  All I know is that the “Random Mailer”offered here consistently gives me the highest percentage of sign-ups per emails sent.  Give this one a try and I think you will be just as impressed as I continue to be.

#4 – Leads N Profits – Hits: 10,168  Sign-ups: 30

Leads N Profits had a big launch towards the end of 2019 and it’s momentum carried it well into 2020.  It doesn’t seem to be getting as much attention lately though so I suspect we won’t see this on next year’s list.  However, even at the start of 2021 my emails are still out performing most of the other lists I use.  Try and it and see for yourself.

#6 – Traffic Leads 2 Income VM – Hits: 15,518  Sign-ups: 19

Traffic Leads 2 Income Viral Mailer has the longest title of any safelist on this list.  It also has one of the most passionate owners working tirelessly behind the scenes to help keep activity high.  I like it a lot and I have no problem recommending it to anyone looking for good quality traffic for their ads.

#7 – List Adventure – Hits: 19,924  Sign-ups: 18

List Adventure is one of the oldest safelists on this list.  It’s fun to scroll back to 2013 in the mailing history and see how much traffic my ads generated.  While not as active as it was 8 years ago there are still more active members here than most of the newer lists I use.  Well worth joining if you’re not already a member.

#8 – List Avail – Hits: 13,600 Sign-ups: 18
Join ListAvail.com

List Avail features “bonus views” for upgraded members that show your ads to other members after they use the mailer.  This boosts your CTR% and keeps your ads in front of the most active members.  This is a quality safelist from top to bottom.

#9 – TezzerMail – Hits: 9,211 Sign-ups: 16

TezzerMail not only has the distinction of being operated by the team who designed the LFMVM mailer script that most modern safelists run on today but their many years of experience in the traffic exchange industry is what makes this one of the best safelists around today. I feel like I have only scratched the surface of what is available here so expect to see this one rise for me over the new year.

#10 – List Nerds – Hits: 5,377 Sign-ups: 16

List Nerds was relaunched in 2020 as part of the Click, Track, Profit network of sites. Thanks to this addition the site has been infused with new life that has resulted in increased activity and higher response rates. Keep an eye on this one and watch it continue to grow into 2021.

And that’s my list!  Please note that I don’t use every safelist out there and there are probably some great ones that’s I’ve never heard of.  Feel free to leave any recommendations in the comments and let me know what you think of my list.  I’d love to hear from you!

The Best Safelists for November 2020

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome back!

It’s November 2020 and safelist marketing is still one of the best ways to cheaply and effectively build your lists and promote your offers to a highly responsive audience that continues to grow every day.

During the month of October I decided to use my safelist credits to promote splash pages for Mister Safelist.  My stats are generated from using only the credit mailers and do not include login ads or banners ads or anything like that.  I am upgraded at many of these sites and try to spend time every day reading emails to earn credits.  I currently submit to 40-50 different safelists.  I don’t use every safelist out there and I am constantly updating that list based on my advertising results.  I do not include my own Mister Safelist here as I prefer to let other reviewers take care of that.  I provide these stats only to show what is currently working best for me.  Your results may vary.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
State of the Art Mailer 2284 64.00% 7 0.31%
European Safelist 4906 65.00% 4 0.06%
TezzerMail 603 50.00% 2 0.33%
List Adventure 1880 46.00% 2 0.11%
List Avail 894 50.00% 1 0.11%

Total October Sign-Ups: 28

Not a bad month.  I typically get better results from promoting lead capture pages to build by list so 28 sign-ups to safelist from promoting splash pages is pretty good.  Please note that the stats above are provided only to show what is working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to know what sites work best for you is to track your own ads.  I recommend using HitsConnect to handle all of your link tracking needs.

The Best Safelists for October 2020

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Happy October!

I hope you are keeping active and seeing lots of success from all of your online marketing efforts.

As usual I am still here singing the praises of safelist marketing as one of the cheapest and easiest methods to bring real targeted traffic to whatever it is you are promoting.

Every month I share the stats I obtained from my previous month of safelist advertising.  Last month I used all of my traffic to promote a lead capture page giving away a free ebook called “No More 9-5“.  The stats below reflect the number of people who saw my page and subscribed to my list.  I used about 40 different safelists throughout the month to send my ads.  While I do have upgraded memberships at most of the safelists I use I still spend a lot of time clicking credit links to send my ads to more people.  These stats were obtained using only the standard credit mailer and do not include banner ads, login ads, etc.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
State of the Art Mailer 2811 62.00% 4 0.11%
European Safelist 4314 41.00% 3 0.05%
Traffic Leads 2 Income 850 41.00% 3 0.35%
List Adventure 1698 31.00% 2 0.12%
List Avail 957 54.00% 2 0.21%
Leads N Profits 715 52.00% 2 0.28%

Total September Sign-ups: 34

Please note that the stats I share here are the results of my own marketing efforts throughout the previous month for the pages I am promoting.  What works best for me might not be the same as what works best for you.  These lists are intended to be a jumping off point for you.  To find out what works best for you and what you are promoting you need to track your own ads.  I recommend using HitsConnect to handle all of your link tracking needs.

The Best Safelists for September 2020

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome back to the blog.

September is here and now is a good time to boost our marketing efforts and start focusing on using the best traffic sources to help build our online businesses.  It’s important to be out there every day getting our ads in front of as many people as possible as often as possible.  Safelist marketing is a great way to that.

The biggest new safelist to launch last month is a collaboration between Marty Petrizza and Greg Hickman called The Crypto Mailer.  Marty and Greg are both well established owners of some of the most popular online mailers.  That alone would make me want to join but what’s most interesting is that The Crypto Mailer is a “paid members only” mailer that only accepts crypto currency.  That means all members seeing your ads here are proven buyers who use crypto currency.  You may think that may limit your audience but almost anyone promoting online business opportunities today is leaving a lot of money on the table if they don’t at least accept bitcoin.  If you are promoting anything that can benefit from having an audience of crypto users check out The Crypto Mailer.

Let’s get to this month’s stats.

As usual I promote my ads to about 40 different safelists every month.  I do have a lot of upgraded memberships but I still spend a lot of time clicking every day to try and send my ads to as many people as possible as often as possible.  If you want to see a sample of the page I am currently promoting in safelists you can click here. The “Sign Ups” below reflect how many people have confirmed their email address after opting in to my list.  The sign-ups only come from email ads and do not include banners or login ads.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
European Safelist 3130 62.00% 6 0.19%
State of the Art Mailer 2767 63.00% 6 0.18%
Trend Mails 2077 30.00% 5 0.24%
Leads N Profits 706 54.00% 4 0.57%
List Avail 1042 53.00% 3 0.29%

Total August Sign-ups: 47

That’s all for this month.  Keep in mind that the mailers that work best for me might not be the best for everyone.  It really depends on what you are promoting and how you are promoting it.  It’s always a good idea to track your own ads to find out what traffic sources work best for you.  For a good link tracker that can handle all of your marketing links check out HitsConnect.

The Best Safelists for August 2020

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome to August.

I hope everyone has been having a productive summer and that your online businesses are thriving.

As someone who has been doing this Internet marketing stuff for a very long time I have collected a number of tools which I use to make my work easier and more profitable.  One tool that I recommend every marketer have is an effective link tracking tool.  Link trackers tell you exactly where your traffic is coming from and if used correctly where your sales are coming from.  This make it much easier to target your traffic and hopefully make you more money.

In June I swapped out almost all of my tracking links and started using the ones provided by HitsConnect.  It was much easier than I thought it would be and the features provided by them were on par if not better than what I had been using.  July was the first full month I used HitsConnect to track my safelist ads and the results were not what I was expecting.

In short, either the ad I am promoting is so stale it’s dead or I am doing something very wrong.  According to my autoresponder I received 39 new subscribers in July vs the 18 reported by my tracker.

I suppose there is always going to be some discrepancies.  In May my autoresponder said my ad generated 52 new subscribers vs 42 reported by my old link tracker.  It could just be that people are finding my ad from outside of the safelists but I am still not convinced everything is working right yet.  I’m going to try the same ad with a different tracker next month and then for sure I will have something new to promote in September.

These are my results from July.  I gathered these stats from the 30-40 different safelists and mailers that I use to promote my ads every month. I am currently promoting a lead capture page that I am using to build my list.  The “sign-ups” represent the number of people who have subscribed to my list and verified their email address. These stats are provided only to show what is currently working best for me and my ads. Your results my vary.

Hits Signups
Viral URL 192 6
List Mailer Plus 1088 2
List Avail 971 2
TezzerMail 677 2

Total July Sign-ups: 18

As I said, I am not sure everything is working properly.  Noticeably missing are European Safelist and State of the Art Mailer which normally generate at least a few monthly sign-ups.  Again, it’s probably just because my ad has gone stale and is no longer generating sign-ups like when I first published it.

Happy July everybody!

Unfortunately I have no stats to share this month.

While doing some traveling with the family last month the link tracking service that I had been using for several years went down without any warning or explanation.  Up until a few years ago it had been a great service but recently it has felt like it’s been running on autopilot with nobody behind the wheel.  That’s why I haven’t recommended it for so long.  I probably should have stopped using it a long time ago but it was easier to just keep doing what I was doing and not worry about it.  Lesson learned.

The good news is that I have managed to get 95% of my links back up and running with a new tracking service and traffic is back to flowing full throttle to all of my sites again.

I also feel very confident about now being able to recommend HitsConnect as the premiere link tracking service for anyone in our industry.

If you aren’t aware HitsConnect is created by the same guys who wrote the LFM script that most safelists and traffic exchanges run on.  It’s designed specifically for Internet marketers who do the kind of things we do and has all the bells and whistles anybody could ever need.

If you are not tracking the links in your safelist ads you are missing out on a huge piece of the puzzle.  Knowing which links convert best and where allows you to focus your advertising on what works and avoid the things that waste your time and money.

Click the banner below to explore HitsConnect for free.  When you are ready to upgrade I recommend grabbing the yearly deal which will save you a ton of money on your membership.

I just got my safelist ads back up and running again yesterday with HitsConnect so hopefully next month I will have some new stats to share with you in a brand new format.  Until then, keep up the good work!

The Best Safelists for June 2020

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome to June!

I know things are still crazy in the offline world but for anyone working online right now things are starting to look really good.  I haven’t crunched all of my numbers yet from last month but I will tell you that Mister Safelist paid out more money in commissions to it’s affiliates for May than it ever has before.  This is a great time to be working online and safelists are hotter than they have been in years.  If you are still not taking advantage of safelist advertising for your business now is the time to start.

Speaking of taking advantage of safelists… Did you know that Janet Legere launched a new safelist last month?  It’s called Stay at Home Mailer and it is well worth your trouble to try it out.  In case you don’t know Janet she is a bit of a legend in Internet marketing with over 16 years of experience in helping other people start at home businesses.  Her new mailer should prove to be an excellent way to tap into that pool of prospects to help build your own business.  Stay at Home Mailer is free to join but do consider one of the upgrade offers to take advantage of everything Janet has to offer.  Click the banner below to join.

I would also like to shine a spotlight this month on Rob Gehring who runs TrafficLeads2IncomeVM.  Not content to just run a great mailer last week Rob launched his brand new MSF500 (Massive Success Funnel) upgrade package on his site.  Not only does this package include a top level upgrade at TrafficLeads2IncomeVM but it also gets you access to his unique funnel system along with one-on-one coaching with Rob himself.  I know Rob is one of the hardest working guys in the business so if you are still struggling to find ways to make ends meet check out Rob’s MSF500 system.  You can access it as a member of TrafficLeads2IncomeVM which you can join through the banner below.

Ok, let’s move on to my safelist stats from last month.

Every day (or as often as I can) I submit my ads to 40+ safelists using as many credits as I can to reach as many members as I can.  I am currently promoting a lead capture page that I use to build my email list.  I do have upgraded memberships at many of these sites and still spend a lot of time reading emails to earn credits.  I don’t belong to every safelist out there but do occasionally replace inactive safelists with newer ones.  The stats below were achieved using only the credit mailers on the safelists and do not include sign-ups from banner ads or login ads.  The “signups” represent the number of people who have filled out the opt-in form on my page and verified their email address.  My own Mister Safelist does not appear on this list (I test other things there) but if it were it would probably be near the top ;)

List Nerds 835 52.00% 2 0.24%

Total May Sign-ups: 30

A bit of a drop from last month.  I haven’t changed my ads at all in the last 2 months so it isn’t too surprising.  I haven’t decided yet if I am going to leave things the way they are or promote something else this month.  Either way I think it is important to remind you that you should be changing your ads as often as possible to keep things fresh.  I think we have seen from the last few months that even using fresh subjects for your emails can help improve conversions of ads you’ve been running for awhile.

As always please keep in mind that the numbers you see above are the result of my own marketing efforts.  What you promote and how you promote it will most likely make your results different from my own.  The only way to tell what sites work best for you is to track your own results.  Good luck!

The Best Safelists for April 2020

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome to April.

Boy, a lot sure can happen in a month.  With the Coronavirus bearing down hard on the whole world I hope everyone reading this is staying home and staying safe.

It probably goes without saying that the long-term effects of this virus on the global economy are going to be bigger than anyone ever imagined.  What this means for our business is still hard to say.  I think as more people get laid off from their jobs and others just choose to work from home we are going to see a massive influx of people looking for ways to make money online.  It’s not going to happen over night but I think by the end of the summer we will start seeing a lot more people coming into our marketplace.

In short, now is definitely the time to start getting our businesses ready for all of the new people who are going to be looking for ways to make money working from home.

Now let’s get to the safelists.  No major launches last month to report but I have some interesting stats for you below.

The stats below are the top results from my marketing efforts in March.  I currently use 40-50 different mailers every day (or as often as I can) and I am currently promoting a simple lead capture page that I am using to build my list. The “Signups” below show how many people have subscribed to my list and verified their email address.  I do have an upgraded membership at most of the mailers I use which often allows me to send my ads more often to more members.  However, I do spend a lot of time every month reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads.

List Nerds 713 67.00% 2 0.28%
The Lead Magnet 279 56.00% 2 0.72%

Total March Sign-ups: 34

Last month I mentioned that my ad was probably getting a little stale as I had been running it for several months and my stats kept going down.  Rather than start from scratch I wanted to see how much of an effect my safelist email would have on getting new sign-ups.  So, I kept the same landing page but wrote a new email with a new subject.  With just this one change I went from 24 sign-ups in February to 34 sign-ups in March.  That’s a pretty big boost considering my landing page stayed exactly the same.  For April I am going to take it a step further and try rotating different subject lines at each safelist to see if the variety attracts more attention.

Will it work?  Check back next month to find out!

Happy March!

Life moves pretty fast.  If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

February was a rather slow month for me but we did have one brand new mailer lunch that has been getting a lot of attention.  That is “Results Mailer” from Greg Hickman.  What makes Results Mailer unique is that there are no upgrades to buy!  All members use the site completely free which puts everyone on equal footing.

I was skeptical of this model at first but I am still seeing Results Mailer being promoted everywhere and my CTR for emails there have been close to 10%.  I’m curious to see how this will work out long-term but for now I think Results Mailer is worth joining.

Below you will find my personal safelist marketing stats from February 2020.  I regularly submit my ads to about 40 different safelists and viral list mailers.  I am currently promoting a lead capture page that I use to build my email list.  The “Sign Ups” below reflect how many people have subscribed to my list through my advertised link and verified their email address.  I do have upgraded memberships at a lot of these sites which allow to me to send my ads more often but I do still spend a lot of time reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads.  I don’t use every mailer out there but I do often cycle out less responsive lists to try new ones.

Trend Mails 2206 32.00% 2 0.09%

Total February Sign-ups: 24

Not a very good month for me at all.  In fact I received half as many sign-ups as January.  I believe the reason for this is because I have been using the exact same ad two months in a row and it is simply getting stale.  This month I am going to continue running the same capture page but change up my list subjects and emails to see if that helps.  If not I will switch to something completely new for April.

Remember, keep those ads fresh!

The Best Safelists for February 2020

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome to February!

I’ve got a couple of new launches to announce and a whole bunch of stats to share with you so let’s get started…

First up is probably the biggest surprise I have seen in awhile as it is more of an unexpected re-launch.  That’s right.  Like a phoenix with thick glasses rising from the ashes comes List Nerds!  This was a hot site a few years ago but died off when TimTech went under.  It’s back now under the Click, Track Profit banner with a new design and some cool new features.  Check out the new auto send feature that let’s you schedule 7 weekly emails to be automatically sent for you every day of the week.  Join List Nerds Here!

Next is World Traffic Mailer which is so new I haven’t even tried it yet.  I just joined it an hour ago because I have been seeing Steve Ayling promoting it everywhere.  Steve is an owner that I know, like, and trust so this was an easy sell for me.  World Traffic Mailer features a unique “Referral Build’em” module which will automatically promote your referral link when you click at least 25 emails.  Who doesn’t want free referrals?  This one is for sure worth checking out.

That’s all for the new launches, now let’s move on to the stats…

As usual the stats below came from the 40 or so safelists and viral list mailers that I use almost every day to promote my sites.  For the month of January I switched back to promoting a unique squeeze page that I had been promoting a few months ago which was starting to go stale.  I wanted to see if taking a few months off would help to revive it.  The “Signups” listed below are the number of people who subscribed to my mailing list through the page I am promoting and verified their email address.  While there are many other safelists out there these are the ones I use.  These stats show only the number of new members received by using the “credit mailer” and do not include and banner or login ads.  I also like to point out that I am upgraded at most of these sites and spend a lot of time reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads.  My own Mister Safelist does not appear on this list but it should always be assumed that Mister Safelist is awesome.

European Safelist 5422 53.00% 6 0.11%
State of the Art Mailer 2522 61.00% 5 0.16%
Adchiever 464 59.00% 4 0.86%

Banner Blitz Mailer 880 45.00% 2 0.23%
List Nerds 334 54.00% 2 0.60%

Total January Sign-ups: 46

As usual European Safelist tops the list of the most effective mailers I use.  If you haven’t joined this one yet I don’t know what you are waiting for.

Don’t forget that the stats above are provided only to show which mailers are currently working best for me at this time.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to know what sites work best for you is to track your own ads.
