The Best Safelists for October 2011

October!

Not too much news to report.  Other than the launch of Totally Tweetable about a month ago I haven’t spotted any other new safelists or mailers worth mentioning.  Have I missed anything?

So let’s just get to the stats!

Every day I submit a series of lead capture pages to dozens of safelists and viral list builders giving away free copies of my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics. I use link trackers to determine how much traffic my mailings generate as well as how many new subscribers I receive.  I then compile all of the data and share the results here on my blog each month to show you which safelists and viral list builders are bringing me the best results.

Keep in mind that these stats are the result of my own personal efforts.  I have upgraded memberships in most of the sites below and spend time every day earning credits to make sure my ads are seen as often as possible.  Your results may vary.

The Lead Magnet 1341 60.00% 20 1.49%
State of the Art Mailer 4177 74.00% 14 0.34%

Adchiever 2041 71.00% 10 0.49%
Elite Safelist 2585 37.00% 9 0.35%
Viral URL 18 78.00% 8 44.44%
Instant List Empire 272 61.00% 6 2.21%
Quick List Profits 511 52.00% 5 0.98%
DownlineBuilderDirect 1128 56.00% 5 0.44%
Ultimate Profit List 929 71.00% 5 0.54%
Viral Mail Profits 290 67.00% 4 1.38%
European Safelist 625 40.00% 3 0.48%

Total September sign-ups from all mailers (including those not listed here): 166

I’m sure Stefan Berg will be happy to see that The Lead Magnet is on top again.  Hi Stefan!

I also want to recommend List Adventure to anyone who isn’t already a member.  This mailer almost got lost in the shuffle a few months ago when new viral list builders were launching all over the place.  List Adventure is right up there this month with heavy hitters like SOTAM and List Bonus.  What’s amazing to me is that as an upgraded member at List Adventure I don’t think I have ever had to worry about earning credits to send my ads to the entire list every 3 days.

That’s it for this month.

Don’t forget that these stats are the results of my own marketing efforts.  You results may differ from mine but you will never know unless you are tracking your ads!  You can get the same link tracker that I am using for free when you join TE Toolbox.

  1. Hi Jerry,

You’re right. Back to where we belong rofl… #1…. Yeehaaa. #2 in the Hoopla Ranking this week. Top3 – 39 weeks Straight. It’s not a Flash in the Pan kind of List Builder. We are here to stay and we keep growing every day. How about New Monthly sales record? Yes, by 20%, New Login record. We never sold more of Our Highest Membership levels in a month then we did in September… I can go on and on… Thank you again Jerry for your excellent work… /Stefan Berg

  2. Hi Jerry

I’ve been getting massive amounts of traffic from the mailer at listsurfer. I’ve had > 500 hits from a single mailing!

I know that’s it more like TE conversions, but the branding that it brings can only be a good thing.

    Andrew

  3. I have also been getting lots of traffic from List Surfing. My only problem is trying to earn enough credits to get in a full mailing. With I believe over 20,000 members I would need to surf thousands of pages every day to earn enough credits to send an email to the entire membership… or spend over $100 on credits. That’s a lot even for me.

  4. Hello Jerry, thanks for your stats.
I thought the same thing yesterday Listsurfing, you have to surf each month to send an email to all the list … really hard.
I saw it anyway, with my stats, which already send to 2550 containers takes me more than 105 clicks. 4% not bad!
I have not seen that mentioned a listbuilder’s really paying off: listablaze, for me, even if only send to 500 recipients, have an average result of 130 clicks
    have a nice sunday

  5. Yea, you guys are all right. However, although it sucks to have to surf every month, that is also probably the REASON you are getting such good clicks? Not sure if that is true, but just guessing on that one.

    For Jerry,

    Just curious…

How big is your email list overall? How much do you earn online in a year in profit?

I know those may be personal questions, but you seem to have upgraded memberships at many sites you promote, and that really adds up.

Just want to know I am following someone who has great, consistent results every month with these marketing methods?

  6. Yeah, it’s kinda weird. Surfing the traffic exchange side of List Surfing earns you email credits but reading the emails only earns you banner/text ad impressions. Sure, you need to read the emails to stay “active” but it’s actually quite impressive how many emails people are reading.

My own email list is around 15,000 right now.

I won’t go into my personal finances for obvious reasons but I am earning more than enough to cover my monthly upgrades. Of course that didn’t happen over night and I wouldn’t recommend anybody run out and buy all of those upgrades at once. Better to take it slow and cover your costs as you progress.

    Thanks for the comment, Anthony!

  7. Hi Jerry; I just took at look at your blog for the first time. My results with TE and safelists has always been poor, in terms of the effort put in for the results achieved. Therefore, I am hoping to get some new information from your guide.
I figure that I remembered your name from safelist adverts, so you must be doing something right :D.
Anyway, I am really focusing on the traffic side of my new IM venture now and any workable free method is like gold.
