The Best Safelists for September 2017

Author: Jerry Iannucci

It’s September!

This is traditionally the time of year where online business shifts into high gear.  If you’ve spent the last few months lounging by the pool now is the time to update those ads and get busy driving traffic to your squeeze pages.

Where are the best places to promote your ads this month?

Funny you should ask…

I regularly submit my ads to 30-40 different safelists and viral list builders.  I am currently promoting lead capture pages that promote my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics.  The “Sign Ups” below reflect how many people have chosen to opt-in to my list and verified their email address.  I do have upgraded memberships at a lot of these sites which allow to me to send my ads more often but I do still spend a lot of time reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads.  I don’t use every mailer out there but I do often cycle out less responsive lists to try new ones.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
European Safelist 5680 58.00% 15 0.26%
List Impact 828 53.00% 6 0.72%
Bweeble 1775 63.00% 6 0.34%
Viral URL 147 69.00% 5 3.40%
State of the Art Mailer 3557 58.00% 5 0.14%
List Avail 917 60.00% 4 0.44%
The Lead Magnet 439 60.00% 4 0.91%

Total August Sign-ups: 65

As usual the stats above are the results of my own marketing efforts and are provided only to show what is currently working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to know what works best for you is to track your own stats.  You can get the same link tracker that I use when you join trck.me.

Jerry for the life of me I’ve tried marketing the Clicksellerate program sending traffic both premium and free to all the safelists you mentioned but have not even managed to total 10 sign ups to a free to join program.
These list are hard to cater as the users are really old adage internet marketers in the 44 -65 age bracket so they don’t easily embrace any other marketing techniques outside FFAs, Classified Ads and Safelist Mailing as nothing else since 2001 work for them’
You could promote backlinking strategies, Seo techniques, social media marketing and mobile marketing till you’re blue in the face – they won’t budge.
The older the average age of the membership the harder it is to promote the new strategies and ideas of online marketing.

Have you tried using them to build your list? That is what I do when them. Even though I have been sending the same ads every day for the last year I am still getting 50+ subscribers a month.

Even free to join programs are hard to promote on safelists. It’s much easier to promote them to your list once your subscribers know you and you are not competing with all of the timers and other ads found in the safelists.
