May
It’s May!
That means I finally have some awesome stats to share with you (well, more awesome that usual).
So last month I relaunched my very popular Safelist Marketing Tactics ebook. Partially because it was really outdated but also because I really wanted to get back into list building which is what I believe is the best use for safelists.
I now have a full month of safelist stats generated completely from list building.
Which are the best safelists for list building? Let’s find out…
The stats below were compiled from promoting 3 different squeeze pages for Safelist Marketing Tactics at 40-50 different safelists. I used a rotator to cycle through different squeeze pages to see which ones would work best. I am upgraded at most of these safelists and I do spend time every day reading enough emails to send my ads to as many people as possible. These stats are provided only to show what is working best for me. Your experience may vary.
Hits | Unique | Signups | Ratio | |
European Safelist | 6458 | 57.00% | 28 | 0.43% |
Viral URL | 147 | 82.00% | 11 | 7.48% |
Bweeble | 1294 | 64.00% | 7 | 0.54% |
Fast List Mailer | 857 | 49.00% | 5 | 0.58% |
My Free Resources | 1063 | 42.00% | 5 | 0.47% |
Purple Vault Mailer | 1248 | 40.00% | 5 | 0.40% |
Adchiever | 1746 | 68.00% | 4 | 0.23% |
Max Mailer Pro | 1250 | 43.00% | 4 | 0.32% |
Viral List Builder Plus | 1538 | 58.00% | 4 | 0.26% |
Email Traffic List | 827 | 63.00% | 4 | 0.48% |
Total April Subscribers: 110
In previous months I was advertising my own Mister Safelist and was averaging 40-50 sign-ups a month. With a 110 new subscribers added to my list last month just from using safelists you can see that list building is definitely the way to go. Has this hurt my sign-ups to Mister Safelist? Not really. The number of new sign-ups last month stayed about the same. This could be attributed to the fact that everyone joining my list is at some point going to be introduced to Mister Safelist through my emails.
As for the safelists themselves… I think European Safelist has more than secured it’s spot as my top safelist. I don’t know what they are doing over there but I hope they never stop.
The other rankings haven’t changed too much other than bringing me in more subscribers than sign-ups. A few had even dropped a bit over the last few months but are back now that I am list building again.
With all these new stats I have a lot more data to help me choose which safelists I want to keep and which ones I want to drop for next month. I may even pull out some of the safelists that I previously dropped to see if they preform better now with my squeeze pages.
And that’s it!
As usual don’t forget that what is working best for me might not be the best thing for you. The only way to know for sure is to track your own stats. You can get the same link track that I use along with a free 30-day trial when you sign-up at trck.me.

Thanks for sharing your stats Jerry. Yes, European Safelist has been around since forever and it is still a very responsive safelist, they seem to be doing a good work there. I noticed the same as you did when I was promoting GenieMailer only so I decided to turn to the list building side as well and I partnered with Janet Legere in GenieMailer. My list is growing consistently again and so is GM. I think I made a good decision.
Success and keep up the great work!
