The Best Safelists for March 2012

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Hello March!

It’s time once again to dig into my stats and discover which safelists and viral list builders are producing the best results right now.

I can’t think of any major updates to announce this month.

In fact, looking at my stats I am thinking it might be time to shake things up.  I noticed I had about a dozen sites that I regularly submit to produce 0 to 1 sign-ups for me last month.  Some of these sites have been around for a very long time and have produced good results for me in the past.  In most cases I have an abundance of credits so I don’t even need to read the emails (which probably means other people have an abundance of credits too and aren’t reading mine).  It only takes me about 30 seconds to login to each one every day and submit my ad but over a month that adds up to about 15 minutes per site.  Times a dozen sites and I am wasting a lot of time.

So would anybody like to make some suggestions on some replacement sites?  There are probably a bunch of new sites that I haven’t tried because they look too new.  There’s also probably a bunch of old sites that I stopped using but should maybe revisit.  In any case if you know of any decent safelists or viral list builders that are working well for you but you don’t see me posting here please feel free to leave your affiliate link in the comments below.

Ok, time for the stats!

If this is your first time here I will explain how this works.  Every day I submit ads to 30-40 different safelists and viral list builders promoting my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics. I use a free link tracking service to tell me how many hits I receive from each site as well as how many new subscribers I received.  I then take all of that data and share it here on my blog every month so that you can see which safelists and viral list builders are working best for me.

I like to point out that I do have upgraded memberships on most of these sites and I spend about an hour every reading enough emails to allow me to send to the maximum number of members every day.  These are are my own personal stats and your results may vary.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
Viral List Builder Plus 1359 54.00% 14 1.03%
Your EZ List 1321 65.00% 12 0.91%
Adchiever 2528 66.00% 8 0.32%
The Lead Magnet 946 58.00% 8 0.85%
Elite Safelist 2696 43.00% 6 0.22%
State of the Art Mailer 3044 70.00% 5 0.16%
Instant List Empire 611 63.00% 5 0.82%
List Surfing 636 78.00% 5 0.79%
Adsolutionline 2494 37.00% 4 0.16%
Viral Ad Store 613 67.00% 4 0.65%
European Safelist 1235 50.00% 3 0.24%
List Building Maximizer 919 41.00% 3 0.33%
List Bonus 614 66.00% 3 0.49%
Adtactics 875 48.00% 3 0.34%
Elevated Power List 172 49.00% 3 1.74%

Total February sign-ups from all mailers (including those not listed here): 108

Not my best month but my top sites are still producing great results for me.

Interesting to see that Viral List Builder Plus is not listed at all on the List Hoopla rankings.  It has been in my top 3 for the last few months.  Definitely a must have viral list builder.

That’s all for now.  As always I like to point out that these stats are the result of my own marketing efforts and your results may vary.  I provide these stats to show people which safelists and viral list builders are currently working best for me.  The sites that work best for you might be something entirely different but the only way to find out is to track your own ads.  You can get the same free link tracker that I use when you join TE Toolbox.

    Hi Jerry,

If you want to shake things up why not create a squeezepage for clicktrackprofit?

Between us I think that we could create a mastery course on safelists for the TimTech guys?

Drop me an email if you like the sound of this idea?

Hi Jerry! Thanks for your monthly list. I do check it as reference and guide. Lately, I’ve been doing some tallying of my own. It surely helps save time to focus on the ones that truly work!

Hi Jerry, maybe your ad is getting stale, sometimes a new ad can shake things up too

Hi Jerry, I don’t think I have anything that would shake things up too much. When I see a new safelist I always sign up and then like you, I use the TE Tool box tracker to track results. My list looks very similar as far as tracking results with the exception of Active Safelist where I have results.

Really enjoyed all the info and I skipped down to read a few of the other posts. You’re bookmarked now.

Hi Jerry – my first time reading your blog, but not the last – you give great advice. I’m sending a url for another safelist youmay not have thought of and that I use. Unlike you I’m not tracking so I can’t give you exact stats. Take a look, let me know what you think! Irene http://apsense.cc/64d881

    Hi Jerry,

If you want to shake things up try http://www.ezprofitlist.com or http://www.listnano.com not sure if your a member of them or not but both are worth joining for free.

Also don’t give up on older places. Just because a place didn’t produce one month doesn’t mean you’ll keep getting the same results.

Jerry you sure look like you got a handle on the safelist market. I never did a whole lot of marketing with them because I wasn’t sure of their effectiveness. I’m more of a video/SEO kind of guy. I’d like to know more about them for people in my business and maybe as a side source of traffic for me. Good stuff, like your blog, looks great! Craig Wilson

It’s funny you say that about Active Safelist. When I was checking my stats this month I noticed I had 0 hits from them. Turns out when I reactivated my account a few months ago I forgot to update my tracking link. Oops! Hopefully I will have some better stats to share from them next month.

Thanks. I joined. I think I may have already been a member but after 30 minutes of trying to guess my username/email/password combination I gave up and created a new account. Are you upgraded?

I heard Jerry was really good at email marketing. I asked if he knew of some good safelists… and bam he sent me here. Thanks for the point in the right direction Jerry!
