The Best Safelists for December 2012

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Hello and welcome to another fun-filled month of safelist and viral list builder advertising!

Before we get to the stats I would like to call attention to some of the newest list mailers that launched last month.  There were actually quite a few.  The biggest ones were “Mail Our List” from Steve Ayling, “Safelists.com” from Maryanne Myers, and “Massive Traffic List” from Beth Allen which offers a whopping 18 different ways to advertise your sites.  I don’t have a full month of test results available for these new programs yet but the results I do have can been seen in the stats below.

Speaking of stats…

I did something a little different last month.  Instead of promoting my usual Safelist Marketing Tactics squeeze pages I decided to switch things up and start promoting my own Mister Safelist.  The results were pretty dismal.  I received about half as many sign-ups as I did in the previous month.  I’m not sure if that means squeeze pages convert that much better than splash pages or that my new ads just sucked.  I think I am going to work on rewriting my ads today and try it for another month.  If my results are this bad again next month I will consider switching back to promoting my squeeze pages again.

Disclaimer: I submit to 40+ different safelists and viral list builders every day (or as often as they will let me) and spend a good deal of time every day reading emails to earn credits.  I have upgraded memberships at most of these sites which usually allow my ads to be seen by more members and more often.  The stats below are the results of my own marketing methods.  Your results may vary.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
Max Mailer Pro 8817 43.00% 28 0.32%
Your EZ List 1249 57.00% 8 0.64%
The Lead Magnet 1085 49.00% 5 0.46%
Adchiever 767 53.00% 4 0.52%
List Joe 794 70.00% 4 0.50%
TopTierMailer 1366 59.00% 4 0.29%
Safelists.com 269 50.00% 3 1.12%
Massive Traffic List 302 57.00% 3 0.99%
List Outbreak 676 48.00% 3 0.44%
Viral URL 34 82.00% 2 5.88%
List Bonus 120 52.00% 2 0.83%
Fast Cash Mailer 461 45.00% 2 0.43%
Genie Mailer 740 37.00% 2 0.27%
Viral List Builder Plus 323 48.00% 2 0.62%
European Safelist 126 38.00% 2 1.59%

Total November sign-ups (including mailers not shown here): 78

Yep, pretty dismal.  At least Max Mailer Pro is still crushing it for me.

I should point out that the stats for Safelists.com and Massive Traffic List were the result of less than 2 weeks of use.  Hopefully we will see those number grow even more after a full month of testing.

That’s all for this month.  Remember, the stats above are the results of my own marketing effort and are provided to show what is currently working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different but you will never know unless you are tracking your own ads.  You can get the exact same link tracker that I use from trck.me.

I’m not surprised about the performance of Max Mailer Pro. I haven’t got stats like you do to back it up (I’m just getting started with the tracker you mentioned) but IMO the LFVMV Viral Mailers outperform all the safelists and TEs put together. I’ve got a downline builder just for them and even the ones with less than 300 members bring me better conversions than the credit mailers at the best safelists.

I think the owner has more to do with the performance of a site than the script it runs on. I’ve seen some very primitive looking safelists that bring in great results because the owners are constantly bringing in new members for me to advertise to.

Hi again Jerry: Thanks for your monthly report on how the safelists are doing and I am using it as a guide for joining new safelists. What happened to Bweeble this past month? I know you spoke highly of it before but it seems to have dropped off the map. Can you give me any advice on what level to join at Max Mailer Pro for best ROI? By the way, I will be signing up for Mister Safelist. Cheers, Mike Funston

Bweeble really fell off the chart this month. Looking at my stats, I wonder if there is something wrong with my tracking. My stats says I only received about 400 hits last month but Bweeble is saying it delivered more than 2000. I will investigate this further but there is no question that Bweeble is still a great site.

If you can afford the top level membership at Max Mailer Pro.. grab it! Even better if you can get a 1-year offer. William is a great owner and I would expect good things from MMP for a long while.

Jerry, I was wondering the same thing about SOTAM. We were at the top of the November list with 16 sign ups and fell off the list completely.

Yeah, I wonder if something happened to my stats last month with trck.me. We’re only a week into December and things are looking a lot more “normal” this month.
