Happy Wednesday!

As you probably know by now one of favorite techniques for add hordes of new subscribers to my lists is to use JV giveaway events.  Heck, I even wrote a book about it and post weekly updates on new events on this blog.

I usually don’t promote events individually but there are a few events each year which I consider to be essential for anyone building a list.

The guys that brought you the most gigantic and most successful Easter Giveaway events of the last 4 years are back at it again.

Yes, Guido Nussbaum and Brad Smith have teamed up again and just opened the Pre-Launch of the Easter Giveaway 2010.

The Easter Giveaway is known to be one of the largest events that you can be
involved in to build up your list…

You will be able to build a huge list of subscribers in a short amount of time,
not to mention the commissions you can earn when you promote the  giveaway.

Signup now and start adding new subscribers to your list!

The Best Safelists for March 2010

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome to March and a whole new month of safelist marketing.  Lots of good stuff to talk about this month so let’s jump right in…

First, the big news last month was all about the rise in popularity of safelist cheat software and the safelists owners efforts to fight it.  Well, I am happy to report that the war is over… and WE WON!  Mostly.  Andrew Baxter, the creator of the most popular software made an appearance at Net Marketing Forum and agreed to stop selling and supporting his software.  You can read the whole thread here.

Andrew also states that the developers of several other safelist cheat programs had sent him very angry emails because he had made his software so public resulting in the safelists adding anti-cheat devices.  I guess that confirms that there are still other cheaters out there but at least the anti-cheat stuff is working.

Also I want to remind everyone that while there are people using bots to click your safelist credit links this doesn’t hurt the effectiveness of safelist advertising.  When you spend your safelist credits your credits are used whether or not someone opens your email.  The bots just allow people to earn credits they don’t deserve.  This could result in more emails in your inbox but that also means more credits for you to earn.

There was a pretty huge launch last month.  List Effects is the new viral list builder from two of the biggest names in the safelist and text ad exchange industry.  To be honest, the site isn’t really pretty.  In fact, it looks a little too much like the inside of a text ad exchange… but it’s the results that matter.  And WOW is List Effects kicking butt.  Check the stats below and you will see why I am so excited about this new program.

A not so new program that I finally joined last month is List Building Maximizer.  I don’t know why I waited so long to join this one.  I guess I figure that newer sites aren’t going to have enough members until they have been around for awhile.  Obviously I was wrong.  Based on the stats below List Building Maximizer is crushing it!  If there are other great safelists like this out there that I am missing out on please let me know.

Ok.  Here are my safelist stats from last month.  These stats come from advertising my video splash page for Safelist Marketing Tactics.

Total Clicks

Unique Clicks Action Sales CTA CTS
List Effects
1,076 818 104 21 12.71% 2.57%
ViralAdStore 1,520 915 61 18 6.67% 1.97%
ListBuildingMaximizer
1,757 894 57 18 6.38% 2.01%
Got Safelist 3,808 1,571 50 10 3.18% 0.64%
Elite Safelist 1,396 682 36 10 5.28% 1.47%
List Auction 1,042 737 34 10 4.61% 1.36%
AdSolutionline 2,338 917 26 4 2.84% 0.44%
FreeSafelistMailer 962 466 13 3 2.79% 0.64%

“Clicks” is how many people viewed my splash page.  “Action” is how many people clicked the link on my splash page to go to the main site.  “Sales” is how many people joined my site.  CTA and CTS are “clicks to action” and “clicks to sale”.  I ranked these safelists by sales but it is also important to look at the other numbers to determine how responsive each safelist really is.

Not counting the two new sites it looks like I had a slight drop in my overall results from last month.  That could be a result of me playing around with my subject lines.  I am surprised that List Auction continues to drop.  This could be a result of how few emails they are sending out which means less credits for me to earn for my own ads.  It’s nice to see Got Safelist and Elite Safelist doing really well again.

Obviously the biggest winners this month are List Effects and List Building Maximizer. If you are not a member of these two programs yet you are missing out on some seriously good traffic.

I guess that’s about it for this month.  As usual my stats are a result of my efforts and the pages I am promoting.  Your results may not be the same but you can use my stats as a guide for deciding where you should be promoting this month.  How do I know which safelists work best for me?  I track my results.  If you aren’t tracking you are wasting a big chunk of your time.  You can get a free link tracker from TEToolbox.

Happy Tuesday!

A new site is launching today that I am very excited about…

It’s a brand new viral list builder from my friends Jon Atwood and Frank Salinas called “List Effects“.

Why is this such a big deal?

Basically, Jon Atwood is sorta the king when it comes to credit based safelists and nobody knows more about text ad exchanges than Frank Salinas.  These
guys joining forces to create a new viral list builder means magic.

But it’s not JUST a viral list builder!

These guys came up with the crazy idea to also make their site an on going jv giveaway event.

Hello!  I LOVE giveaway events!

So not only are you building your list on the site (10 levels deep!) but you can also add your squeeze pages to send members directly to your own autoresponder.

Neat!

Jon asked me to help him out with the launch and since the site is now open I would like to personally invite you to join for free.

The Best Safelists – December Stats

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Just in case you haven’t already heard… Happy New Year!

Is it really 2010?  I was just getting used to the 00’s.

2009 was a great year for me and safelists.  I guess because of the success of my ebook some people have actually started referring to me as “the safelist guy”.  I don’t think I deserve that title yet but I do have some big plans for 2010.

Let’s get to the news..

It appears AdSolutionline upgraded their surf bar.  It now features a cool graphic spinny thing.  Unfortunately my sign-ups there started to go down around the same time.  Not sure if it’s related but I just put in a support email to make sure everything is working ok.

Elite Safelist had some problems last month too.  Seems there was a hard drive crash which took the mailer down for about a week.  Luckily the problem got solved and everything there is running smoothly again.  Unfortunately, the missed week did bring down my numbers down for last month.  Here’s hoping this month puts Elite Safelist back up where it belongs.

Probably the biggest news last month was the launch of Viral Mail Profits.  This thing is really sweet as it manages all your safelist accounts from one location.  I am told they will be adding a mailer to the program very soon and I expect it to really blow up after that.  If you haven’t joined Viral Mail Profits yet, do it now!

Ok, let’s get to the stats:

Total Clicks

Unique Clicks Action Sales CTA CTS
List Joe 2,175 1,599 123 29 7.69% 1.81%
ViralAdStore 1,714 934 84 28 8.99% 3.00%
List Auction 1,059 718 66 17 9.19% 2.37%
FreeSafelistMailer

Got Safelist 3,948 1,721 49 10 2.85% 0.58%
Elite Safelist 1,534 799 37 5 4.63% 0.38%
Global Safelist
1,741 868 15 5 1.73% 0.58%
AdSolutionline 2,820 1,140 44 4 3.86% 0.35%
Smart Safelist 783 373 11 4 2.95% 1.07%

“Clicks” is how many people viewed my splash page.  “Action” is how many people clicked the link on my splash page to go to the main site.  “Sales” is how many people joined my site.  CTA and CTS are “clicks to action” and “clicks to sale”.

I should probably mention that these stats came from promoting my SMT splash page.  So depending on what you are promoting, your results may vary.

Are you tracking your ads?  Don’t just rely on my numbers.  When you use a link tracker to track your ads you will always know which sites get the best results for you.  To get you own free link tracker… CLICK HERE.

Happy Sunday!

One of the key points that I try to emphasize to people who are just getting
into Internet marketing is how important branding is to their business.

Branding is something that is often overlooked by marketers as is evidenced by the number of people out there promoting generic affiliate pages without any kind of personal branding.

Branding is important!

I learned this first hand from working with the “TE guy” Jon Olson himself.

Click here to access an exclusive interview with Jon Olson where he breaks down exactly what you need to know about branding in safelists and traffic exchanges to get better results from your efforts.

You will also get a sneak peak at what is sure become one of the most innovative TE launches of 2010.  I have been beta testing this site and it’s really like nothing you have ever seen before.

Check out the interview with John Guanzon to get a front row seat to the launch of this exciting new traffic exchange where quality advertising and social media blend seamlessly together.

JV Giveaway Tactics – My New Site!

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Hooray!

I’m about a month late but yesterday I finally released my new ebook/website called JV Giveaway Tactics.  You can check it out here:

http://www.GiveawayTactics.com

The book shows people how they can build their list bigger, faster, and easier using JV giveaway events.

I started using giveaway events about a year ago to build my list and was shocked at how well they worked.  Before this I had heard about giveaway events but never understood how they worked.  It turns out that giveaway events are actually pretty simple but here are a lot of little things that need to be done ahead of time to really get the most benefits from them.

Since most of the really big  jv giveaway events are scheduled around major holidays I figured this would be the perfect time of the year to release a book like this.  There is even a calendar inside the website that alerts members to all the great new giveaway events that are coming up.

The JV Giveaway Tactics site launch went eerily smooth.  Its been about 15 hours since it launched and so far there are 298 members.  Not bad for a free ebook.  I gotta give a big shout-out to Jerry Reeder for helping me out with my sales page copy until 4:00 am the night before.  Thanks Jerry!

I woke up at 9:00 am to make some last minute changes and opened the doors to the site at 10:00 am.  A few hours later I did what any new business owner would do at his first day on the job… I took a nap.  Lol.  Yep, I slept good too knowing that my system was all in place and everything was running smoothly.  In fact, I still have not received one support email (well, there was one but it was spam so at least I know the support room works).

Word of mouth has been good and my members are making money so I would say this launch has been a success.  This gives me a little more confidence as I go into my next project which is going to be bigger and badder than anything I have done so far.  Stay tuned!

Note to self… Make sure to disable the membership sign-up page until the site actually launches.

Yesterday I woke up to find one of my partners had starting sending traffic to my site even though I told him we wasn’t launching until Monday.  Before I could catch it about 50 people managed to get in and some of them had even started promoting it themselves.  Eeek!

I disabled the start-up page and let everyone know not to start promoting it until Monday.  Hopefully no real damage was done by letting a few people take a peek at the site a few days early.

The good news is that everything works!  The sales page is converting extremely well and so are the special offers.  I am now feeling much more excited about Monday’s launch and much less nervous.

The launch date is still set for Monday, June 8th @ 12:00 Noon EST.

Make sure you check back here Monday morning for more inf0rmation.

T-minus 1 week to launch!

Launch is set for Monday, June 8th @ Noon EST.

Everything is set and ready to go for my first membership site… and much sooner than expected.

Last week I hired Jay Hines (Quick Tab Change) to do a little custom programming on the site.  I knew that was something I was going to need to do after I finished my product but I was factoring in at least a week for him to get it done.  I spotted Jay in the Affiliate Funnel conference room and told him what I wanted.  20 minutes later it was done!

With the site completed I spent some time last week sending out emails looking for JV partners.  I wasn’t expecting a huge response but I was surprised by how many people didn’t bother to respond at all.  The good news is that I got a few people who I know are going to be able to bring in a huge amount of traffic to the site.  The important thing to remember is that it never hurts to ask.

For the last few days I have been writing emails to put into my autoresponder.  That has taken longer than expected.  It’s been almost a year since I have written an entire email series but I think I have gotten much better at it.  I have essentially written an ecourse on Internet marketing that I will be sharing with the members of my site.  I am pretty excited about it.

If you are not sure how to write autoresponder emails I highly recommend reading Soren’s Internet Marketing Success Formula.  Really good stuff.

With everything being done I am not quite sure what to do for the next week.  I’ll probably write a few more promo emails for the members but otherwise I am ready to go.

Maybe I will get a head start on launching my 2nd membership site.

Just a quick update.

Not too much has changed since my last post.  I did get all of the “little things” done that I mentioned in my last post.  All I have left now is to create the product and write some emails.

I did get fancy shmancy splash page made for me this week that affiliates will be able to use when promoting my site.  I usually try and make my own splash pages but this time I decided to hire Jamison Raymond from Black Hat Graphics.  Jamison is da man when it comes to splash pages because he understands that it takes more than just great graphics to create a high converting splash page.  I am very pleased with how well it turned out.

I had been putting off the product creation part of this project for awhile because I wasn’t sure how to properly format it in order to turn it into a rebrandable pdf file.  Thankfully Sunny Suggs got me into contact with Jay Hines from Quick Tab Change who came up with a great solution for me.  Thanks Sunny!  Now there is nothing holding me back!

Of course I still haven’t started.  I have been doing a lot of shows lately.  Tonight will be my 7th show in 6 days and I am feeling kinda drained.  The good news is that I have Saturday and Sunday off to work on my product… or I could watch the last 6 episodes of LOST that are sitting on my hard drive.

Next week.  Seriously!  I will have something done by next week.
