That means I finally have some awesome stats to share with you (well, more awesome that usual).
So last month I relaunched my very popular Safelist Marketing Tactics ebook. Partially because it was really outdated but also because I really wanted to get back into list building which is what I believe is the best use for safelists.
I now have a full month of safelist stats generated completely from list building.
Which are the best safelists for list building? Let’s find out…
The stats below were compiled from promoting 3 different squeeze pages for Safelist Marketing Tactics at 40-50 different safelists. I used a rotator to cycle through different squeeze pages to see which ones would work best. I am upgraded at most of these safelists and I do spend time every day reading enough emails to send my ads to as many people as possible. These stats are provided only to show what is working best for me. Your experience may vary.
Total April Subscribers: 110
In previous months I was advertising my own Mister Safelist and was averaging 40-50 sign-ups a month. With a 110 new subscribers added to my list last month just from using safelists you can see that list building is definitely the way to go. Has this hurt my sign-ups to Mister Safelist? Not really. The number of new sign-ups last month stayed about the same. This could be attributed to the fact that everyone joining my list is at some point going to be introduced to Mister Safelist through my emails.
As for the safelists themselves… I think European Safelist has more than secured it’s spot as my top safelist. I don’t know what they are doing over there but I hope they never stop.
The other rankings haven’t changed too much other than bringing me in more subscribers than sign-ups. A few had even dropped a bit over the last few months but are back now that I am list building again.
With all these new stats I have a lot more data to help me choose which safelists I want to keep and which ones I want to drop for next month. I may even pull out some of the safelists that I previously dropped to see if they preform better now with my squeeze pages.
And that’s it!
As usual don’t forget that what is working best for me might not be the best thing for you. The only way to know for sure is to track your own stats. You can get the same link track that I use along with a free 30-day trial when you sign-up at trck.me.
Happy April Fool’s Day!
No jokes today. Instead I am going to be very serious.
Safelist Marketing Tactics is back! Hooray! (ok, not too serious).
I first wrote Safelist Marketing Tactics way back in 2009 long before I owned Mister Safelist and even before I started sharing my safelist stats. The website has has over 17,000 members and who knows how many thousand more have downloaded it without registering. I think it’s safe to say it has become one of the most popular guides to safelist marketing and I have very happy to still be offer to people for free.
With the return of Safelist Marketing Tactics I am going to be making a big change to the way I track my stats here on my blog. Instead of tracking the number of sign-ups I receive at Mister Safelist I am going to switch back to building my list with Safelist Marketing Tactics. That means I won’t be promoting Mister Safelist as much in safelists and instead will be promoting it on the back end through the book and in other ways. I will still be buying a lot of paid ads for Mister Safelist but most of my safelist emails will be dedicated to promoting Safelist Marketing Tactics.
That means if you want to start promoting Mister Safelist now would be a good time (wink).
Ok, let’s get to this month’s stats.
The stats below are some of the results from my marketing efforts during the previous month. I’m currently using 40-50 different safelists and viral list mailers to promote my own Mister Safelist. I do have upgraded memberships at most of these sites which often allow me to send my ads more often and to more people than free members. I track the number of people who sign-up to Mister Safelist through the splash pages I advertise in these safelists. I provide these stats only to show what is currently working best for me.
Total March Sign-ups: 44
Slightly better than last month but next month should be completely different. I started promoting my squeeze pages again last night for Safelist Marketing Tactics and the sign-ups are already coming in. This should give us a lot more data to see which mailers are best for building a list which is what everyone should be doing anyways.
That’s it for this month. As usual these stats are the result of my own marketing efforts for the pages I am promoting. To find out what safelists work best for you it is important to track your own ads. You can get the same link tracker I use with a 30-day free trial from trck.me.
Welcome back to my blog where every month I share some of my advertising stats and post about what is new is the world of safelists and viral list builders.
The biggest launch last month was DownlineMaxx from Darren Olander and Troy Wray. DownlineMaxx is a downline builder that features many of the top safelists. What makes DownlineMaxx so special is the unique downline marketplace that lets you buy/rent program slots in other people’s downlines. Don’t want to join a program in the downline builder? You can always sell/rent out your unwanted slots to other members. It’s very cool! There is also a built in mailer so even if you are not interested in the downline builder you can still use it just like any other safelist.
Now lets get to the stats…
I am currently promoting my own Mister Safelist to over 40+ different safelists and viral list builders. I do have upgraded memberships at many of these sites which allows me to send my ads more often. I also spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads to the maximum amount of people. These stats are provided only to show what is currently working best for me.
Total February sign-ups from safelists: 39
European Safelist continues to rock and I still don’t know why. I am not complaining though.
Overall numbers are still a down a bit so I think next month I am going to switch back to list building. I was hoping to get that started today but I still have some work to do before I can make the switch.
Please remember that these stats are merely a reflection of my own advertising efforts for what I am promoting. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to figure out what works best for you is to track your own ads. You can get a free 30-day trial of the same link tracker I use from trck.me.
It’s February and time again to talk a little about what’s been happening in the world of safelists and viral list builders.
A few new mailers launched last month that are worth mentioning.
The first is Purple Vault Mailer. Launched by Sarah Louise with the support of Steve Ayling Purple Vault Mailer features a unique game that encourages members to open emails in an attempt to open the “Purple Vault”. I have only been using this one for a little while but so far the results have been good.
The second new mailer is Punch Card Mailer from Marcy McManaway. Marcy is the author of Simple Mail Builder which is great ebook on safelist marketing. Needless to say Marcy knows a thing or two about safelists so I am excited to see what she does with Punch Card Mailer.
I am also happy to announce that my own Mister Safelist has recently passed 5,000 active members! This is a big deal for me because having 5,000 active members was a goal of mine way back when I first launched the site. With the number of people who come and go it’s exciting to see the site still maintaining a positive growth after all this time. So, yay me!
Ok, let’s get to this month’s stats.
The way these stats work is that I submit to 40-50 different safelists as often as I can throughout the month. I am promoting splash pages for my own Mister Safelist and keep track of how many verified sign-ups I receive from my mailings. I am upgraded at most of these mailers which allows me to send my ads more often and reach more people. I also spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to reach as many people as possible. I don’t count the sign-ups that come from banner ads or login ads or anything like that. These stats are all just from using the credit mailer.
Total January sign-ups from safelists: 44
Go European Safelist! Once again solidly topping off the list.
That’s all for this month. As usual I like to point out that these stats are only provided to show what is working best for me with the ads I am promoting. What works best for you might be something different but these sites should be a good place to start. The best advice to find out what works best to you is to track your own links. You can get the same link track that I use from trck.me.
Keeping it short this month.
Nothing new to report.
Below you will find my top safelist advertising stats for last month. I am using these mailers to promote my own Mister Safelist. These stats are only provided to show what is currently working best for me. Depending on what you are promoting, how you are promoting, and how much time and money you put into your advertising your results may vary.
Total November sign-ups: 48
Link tracking provided by trck.me.
Not much news to report but I did check out a few new mailers last month.
The first is Guaranteed Mails from Marty Petrizza. Marty is a great admin who has been doing this for a long time. Her newest creation offers guaranteed traffic for every email you send. So far it’s has been working very well.
The second is Mailer Daddy. I have no idea who owns this one but it is supposed to be a unique script (even though it looks very much like a few others I use). No stats yet but hopefully good things to come from this one.
Legends Mailer from Janet Legere and Matthew Graves launched at the end of September but so far I am really enjoying this one. It sounds simple but I love the way you can schedule all of your emails in advance without the need to login every 24 hours. It’s worth checking out if you haven’t tried it yet.
Ok, on to the stats…
As usual I provide these stats to show what is currently working best for me in my marketing campaigns. I am promoting my own Mister Safelist which is why it is not included in the stats below. I am upgraded at most of these sites and spend time every day reading emails to send my ads to the most people as often as possible. I consider a “Signup” anyone who has clicked my ad, joined my site, confirmed their membership, and logged in for the first time.
Total October Signups: 54
A little better than last month but still not where I would like to be.
Interesting to note that State of the Art Mailer didn’t even make the list last month but shot back up to #1 this month. And of course it’s great to see the new Legends Mailer doing so well too.
That’s it for this month. If you want to make sure you are getting the most out of your advertising make sure you are tracking your own stats. You can get the same link tracker I use that will track all of your ads at all of your sites from Trck.me.
Summer is over.
This is typically one of the busiest periods of the year and a great time to be out there promoting.
Rather than join every new mailer that comes up I have just been focusing on the ones I already have. I did just join the new Legends Mailer that was just released by Janet Legere and Matthew Graves. No stats yet (I just joined) but definitely one to keep an eye on.
Here’s the rest of my stats.
As usual I am promoting my own Mister Safelist. I do have quite a few upgraded memberships and I spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads as often as possible.
Total September sign-ups: 39
Another weak month for me. The last few months I had excuses but I mailed almost every day last month. I’m not sure what is going on. Perhaps with so many new mailers being promoted out there it’s just getting hard for an ancient (3 years old) safelist to stand out. Any thoughts?
That’s all for this month. Remember these stats are only provided to show what is working best for me. To know what works best for you… track your ads!
I apologize for the lack of updates. I took a break last month and did a little travelling. I’m still not completely caught up but I am getting there and even though I still don’t have a full month of stats I wanted to make sure I could share what I do have.
I am a little behind on new mailer launches too. The two big ones I have are Link Punk from Ryan Hogan and My Free Resources from Robert Puddy (the guy who created the LFMVM script) and which is being run by Sunny Suggs (because Sunny rocks!). Both are sites are great but I still need more stats to compare.
If I have missed any other big launches feel free to post your link in the comments below.
So here’s what stats I do have…
I submit daily to 40+ safelists and viral list builders promoting my own Mister Safelist. I do have upgrades at many of these sites and try to spend time every day clicking emails to earn credits. Your results may vary.
Total August Sign-ups: 52
These stats are provided only to show what safelists and viral list builders are currently working best for me. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to find out is to track your own results. You can get the same link tracker I use from trck.me.
Unfortunately this month’s update is going to be a bit abbreviated. For the past month I have been suffering from a lower back injury which has made it very difficult to sit (or stand) for very long. This has made it a bit of a challenge to be online as much as I am used to (I am actually kneeling as I write this). As a result I haven’t been able to keep up with my daily mailings as much as I would have liked.
I know, poor me.
I’m still here and I am not going anywhere. Unfortunately I have probably missed at least a week’s worth of mailings in June which is the most I have ever missed in all the years that I have been doing this. That means I have far less data to compare which are the best mailers going into July.
But I will share what I have got.
Consider these stats to be a respresentation of what you can achieve if you just submit occasionally… or something like that.
As usual I am still still promoting my own site Mister Safelist and I am (mostly) active in about 40 different safelists and viral mailers. A sign-up represents someone who clicked through my splash page and joined my site. These are just my stats based on what I am promoting. What you promote and how often you do it will most likely generate different results for you. I provide these stats to show what is currently working best for me and to hopefully give you a good starting point for where you can also promote.
Total June Sign-ups: 61
As I said, not a great month but the top sites still look consistant with what I have been getting in the past.
Feel free to leave any comments and get well wishes below.
Welcome to June!
As the so-called summer slowdown begins now would be a good time to double your efforts and start advertising more than your competition. This blog will hopefully give you a few new ways that you can do that.
Last month was a fairly slow month as well. The only new mailer I joined that is worth mentioning here is Rodeo Mailer which was launched at the beginning of last month by Mike Wysong. You can see my results there in the stats below.
Now let’s get to this month’s stats.
Here’s how it works. I am active in 40-50 safelists and viral list builders. I send my ads every day (or as often as they will let me) which promote my own Mister Safelist splash pages. I am upgraded in most of these sites and do spend time every day reading enough emails which allow me to send my ads to the most number of people. Your results my vary.
Total May sign-ups (including those not listed here): 90
Keep in mind that I have been advertising Mister Safelist daily for the last year and a half. The sites bringing me the more sign-ups are most likely the ones attracting the most new members. I would probably get better results if I were promoting something new and different.
Remember that these stats are the result of my own marketing efforts and are provided only to show what is currently working best for me. What works best for you might be something entirely different. The only way to find out which sites work best for you is to track your own results. You can get the same link tracker that I use from trck.me.
