The Best Safelists for April 2014

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Safelist marketing sucks!

Ok, now that I have gotten my annual April Fool’s joke out of the way… Hello! Welcome to April and a new month of what’s happening in the wonderful world of safelists, mailers, and viral list builders.

Apparently what isn’t an April Fool’s joke is today’s launch of 13 (yes, 13) new viral mailers as part of the Majestic-12 group (12 plus the main site). I’m still trying to wrap my head around launching 13 copies of the same site with different backgrounds. Maybe I am missing something?

The other big launch was about a week ago from Kenny Kolijn called Fast List Mailer. You may know Kenny from his other program BannerAdsThatPay which has been very successful. Fast List Mailer looks like a winner to me. It’s only a week old but as you can see in the stats below it is already performing better than most of my other mailers. Add that Kenny is going all-in on advertising to help grow the site makes Fast List Mailer a must join program this month.

List Adventure is now owned by the List Bonus guys. I think this is the second time List Adventure has gotten new owners and yet it is still one of my best performing mailers.  Go figure.

List Hoopla suffered a major crash last month.  It’s back up but unfortuately everyone lost their downlines which is definitely a bummer.

And now the stats…

I have started weeding out a lot of the safelists that haven’t been bringing me much success. I’m down to about 40 that I am actively using on a daily basis. I use these sites to promote my own Mister Safelist (which is why it’s not included in the stats) and keep track of which mailers bring me the most sign-ups. I am upgraded at most of the mailers I use and spend time every day clicking for credits to reach as many people as possible as often as possible. Your results may vary.

As usual these stats are the results of my own marketing efforts and are only provided to show what is currently working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different which is why it is so important to track your own stats. The Best Safelists for March 2014

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Hello again and welcome to March!

February 2014 was a surprisingly quiet month in the safelist industry. There were no major launches and other than a lot of backlash over a certain program that tries to cheat safelists (it won’t work anywhere good so don’t bother) it has been business as usual.

So let’s see what mailers are still bringing me the best results…

The stats below are the results of my own marketing efforts for the month of February 2014. I am currently active in about 40 different safelists and viral list builders and use them to promote my own mailer Mister Safelist (which is why it is not included in the stats below). Please keep in mind that I do have upgraded memberships at most of these mailers and I still spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads to as many people as possible. Your results may vary.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
Puffin Mailer 3114 41.00% 8 0.26%
Traffic Zip 1253 57.00% 8 0.64%
Build My Downlines 2924 65.00% 7 0.24%

List Adventure 2340 46.00% 4 0.17%
Bweeble 1803 62.00% 4 0.22%

Total February 2013 sign-ups: 109

I kept it short this month because there were 10 sites with 3 sign-ups and I thought listing 20 sites would be too many. So these are my top 10.

Remember, these are the sites that are currently working best for me. The only way to know what will work best for you is to track your results. Get 30-day trial of the same tracking service I use from trck.me.

The Best Safelists for February 2014

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome to February and a new month of safelist and viral mailer stats.

Here’s what’s new this month…

First up is a new mailer from Chris Roher which has been getting a lot of attention. It’s called Traffic Zip. Probably the coolest thing about this list builder is that it actually builds your list!  If you check the homepage that sign-up form is linked to my autoresponder.  So anyone joining though your referral link can be added to your own list so that you can personally follow up with them.  It’s a cool feature, a nice site design, and even though I have only been using it for about a week I am already getting great results with it.

Explosive Mailer by Eric Abbott and Randy Howard launched a few months ago but hasn’t gotten a big push until now.  Their first referral contest is being called “Beat the Admins” and it runs until they hit 3,000 members.  Unlike most referral contests the admins are competiting in this one too.  The twist is that if you can get more referrals than the admins you win all of their referrals!  Pretty cool idea and a great way for someone to get a lot of extra referrals in their downline.

John Bell has recently added a mailer to Mailer Ninja.  This is one of my favorite safelist/mailer tools out there and I am excited to see how it works.  If you missed it I did a video walkthrough of the Mailer Ninja site a few months ago.  You can watch the video here.

Ok, let’s get to this month’s stats!

Every day I send my ads through 40-50 different safelists and viral mailers.  I am promoting various splash pages for my own mailer Mister Safelist.  Note that Mister Safelist does not appear in the stats below because it would be silly for me to promote it there.  I hear it’s good though.  Keep in mind that I am upgraded in most of the mailers listed below and spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads to the maximum number of people.  Your results my vary.

Big shout out to Gnana Prakash at Instant Viral Mailer.  I had my doubt about this new mailer having less than 1,000 members but the numbers speak for themselves.  Good job Gnana!

Also welcome TrafficLead2IncomeVM and Bakery Mailer to the list.  They may be new but they are working great.

Happy New Year!

It’s time to put 2013 behind us and look toward the future that will be 2014.

It’s safe to say that 2013 was an amazing year for safelists and viral list builders.  The popularity of the LFMVM script has finally brought mailers to the level that I knew they would eventually reach.  A lot of that had to do with established traffic exchange owners getting into the mailer game and bringing their TE members with them.  This has allowed mailers to reach a much wider audience than they have ever been able to reach before.

Of course with so many new mailers launching in 2013 it makes sense that not all of them are going to be good.  The cost of opening a viral list builder is now lower than ever but the cost of growing that mailer into a profitable business still seems to be beyond the reach of most marketers.  As with most things, the cream always rises to the top.

As it is a new year I thought this would be a good time to clean out some of the mailers that have been underperforming and focus my attention on the ones that are bringing me the best results today.

I have also decided to drop all mailers that have added a new feature requiring all members to read additional emails, regardless of membership level and how many credits they have, before they can send their ad.  I find this new trend to be extremely annoying and almost everyone I have spoken to agrees.  I suppose forcing people to read additional ads will help to inflate the click-thru rates but ultimately I think it will just drive people away.  I’m curious to hear what everyone else feels about this so feel free to leave a comment below.

While I was able to eliminate quite a few mailers from my list this week I have also found some time to test out some new ones.  I have added Safari Mailer from long time TE owner Paula Zuehlke, Instant Viral Mailer from long time safelist user Gnana Prakash, Bakery Mailer from Adam Figueroa which is being advertised everywhere, and TrafficLeads2IncomeVM from Rob Gehring who is the long time owner of the very popular Traffic Leads 2 Income training program.

Check back next month to see how well these new mailer performed.

And now… this month’s stats!

Here’s the way it works.  Every day I submit my ads to 40-50 safelists and viral list builders.  I am currently promoting my own safelist (Mister Safelist) to these sites using various splash pages.  Note that you won’t see Mister Safelist listed below because it wouldn’t make sense to promote it there but trust me, it’s good!  I like to point out that I do have upgraded memberships at most of the sites listed below which allows me to send my ads more often and to more people.  I also spend a considerable amount of time each day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads to the maximum number of people.

The Best Safelists for November 2013

Author: Jerry Iannucci

It’s November!

Yes, I am a little late this month with my stats. But the wait is over!

So what’s been going on in the world of safelists and viral list builders?

Well, the big news is that Darren Olander did it again with the relaunch of Build My Downlines. BMD isn’t just another mailer though.  It’s a referral marketplace where you can trade cash or credits to get people to sign-up to your programs.  You can also earn cash and credits when you join programs through the site.  Of course there is also a built-in mailer which as you can see from my stats below has been bringing in quite a few sign-ups.  It’s definitely worth joining Build My Downlines if you haven’t done it already.

There was also the new launch of ListAvail from Barry Langdon.  It’s unique script built from scratch and has a nice clean design.  The site just launched last week so I don’t have a lot stats to share yet but I am already seeing ListAvail pop up on a few other “top lists”.  Hopefully it will be on mine too next month.

I don’t know why I have never mentioned this before but if you are on Facebook check out the Safelist Marketing group.  Lots of the top safelist owners hang out there and it’s a great place to discuss what’s currently going on in the industry.  Come get involved in the conversations.. just don’t spam!

Ok, here’s this month’s stats.

The stats below are the result of my own marketing efforts promoting Mister Safelist.  I currently use about 50 different safelists and viral list builders.  I submit every day (or as often as they will let me) and spend time every day reading emails to earn credits.  I’m also upgraded at most of these sites which often allows me to send my ads more often and reach more members than free members.  Your results may vary.

Max Mailer Pro once again holds on to the top spot this month which is not a big surprise.

Not bad month but hopefully with the new addition of “Cash Links” to Mister Safelist I will be able to attract a few more people with my splash pages next month.

Welcome to October!

Last month was pretty crazy with lots of new launches.  Some good, some not so good.

So far it looks like the two best launches from last month (according to my stats) were Viral Safelist Mailer from Jolynn Moss and Cathy White along with Soaring Mailer from Ray White (not related).

It seems that the deluge of new LFMVM sites isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.  It’s nice to know that some owners are stepping up and turning their basic scripts into something special.  Remember, it’s not the script that’s important… it’s the people who are running it that makes a successful mailer.

Here we go again with this month’s stats…

The stats below represent my own marketing efforts from the past month.  I am using these safelists and viral list builders to promote my own safelist Mister Safelist.  I do have upgrades at most of these sites which usually allows me to reach more members and send my ads more often.  I also spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads to the maximum number of people.  Your results may vary.

The Best Safelists for September 2013

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Welcome back!

I was just digging through the archives of my blog and discovered that I have been sharing my safelist stats here every month since August 2009.

That’s 4 whole years!

That should tell you that one of the keys to success with safelists and viral list builders is consistency!  Sending the occasional ad to one or two safelists every few days isn’t enough.  You need to make your advertising part of your daily routine to keep your ads in front of as many people as possible for as long as possible.  Yes, it takes a lot of effort but the results can be worth it.

Also, make sure you are always using the best safelists!  Look for the admins who are constantly out there driving traffic to their site to bring in new members for you to advertise you.  That’s where the action is and that is where you want to be.

What sites are working best for me?

Last month I tested 40+ safelists and viral list builders while promoting my own site Mister Safelist. I spend time every day clicking email ads for credits and have upgraded memberships at most of the sites which usually allows me to send my ads to more people more often.

Here’s my stats from August 2013:

Happy August!

Another month and another bunch of mailer stats.

I joined a bunch of new mailers last month. Well, not really a bunch and not really new. I noticed there were a few mailers in List Hoopla that I had not joined before.  I joined Email Traffic List, Click or Return Email Wiz, Social Viral Mailer, and Majestic Money Mailer.  You can check the stats below but so far out of the bunch Email Traffic List appears to be the most effective which aligns with their #3 rank on List Hoopla.

A topic came up on Facebook recently regarding which works better in safelists: splash pages or sales pages.  The consensus was that sales pages work better.  I decided to test it out last month with my own pages.  I rotated 1 splash page for Mister Safelist and the Mister Safelist homepage.  Unfortunately, I didn’t save the stats (sorry).  But the splash page slightly out performed the home page.   It was close though.  My advice is to test it for yourself and see what works best for you.

Stats time!

Here’s how it works.  Every day I submit my ads to 40+ safelists and viral list builders promoting my own Mister Safelist website.  Yes, I am upgraded in most of these sites and spend time every day clicking for credits that allow me to send my ads to as many people as I can as often as I can.  These are my personal stats and are provided only to show what is working best for me.  Your results may vary.

Welcome to July.

A few notable launches from last month…

Darren Olander and Matt Koshko raised the bar again with the release of Marketing Checkpoint. Marketing Checkpoint is more than just another mailer. It’s a full fledged social networking site that rewards activity with the ability to send your email ads to other members. In addition to the mailer Marketing Checkpoint allows members to post articles and participate in conversations about safelist and other forms of marketing. The Marketing Checkpoint mailer has been open for 2 weeks and so far has been showing a lot of promise.

The other big launch was from Rina Baxter who released Golden Chest Mailer. The site is run on the LFMVM script and has been showing a lot of activity. Worth checking out if you are looking for a new place to send your ads.

And now the stats.

Here’s how it works. Every day I submit ads to 40+ safelists and viral list builders promoting my own safelist Mister Safelist. I am promoting a variety of splash pages and have started mixing up my emails with songs parodies just for fun. I spend time every day reading emails for credits and I am upgraded at most of the sites I use which allows me to send my ads more often and to more people. Your results may vary.

The Best Safelists for June 2013

Author: Jerry Iannucci

Hello June!

It feels like safelists and mailers have been getting a lot more attention recently.  Even compared to just a year ago.  It seems that more and more people are finding out what a powerful advertising medium they can be and I couldn’t be happier.

Last month saw the release of another new viral list builder called List Viral.  It was launched by Matt Baker with a little help from the guys at TimTech.  If you are a member of List Nerds you will notice the similiarities right away.  The design is simple and proves that you don’t need to have a million complicated options to get good results from a mailer.

The other big launch was the new social networking site from Darren Olander and Matt Koskho called Marketing Checkpoint.  This one is a little more than your typical mailer.  It’s a full fledged social networking site.  Sorta like Facebook for Internet marketers.  Members can earn “activity points” by being active within the community and those points can then be used to send ads through the mailer.  The mailer is still offline until June 14 so that they can build up their membership first.  It’s still definitely worth joining Marketing Checkpoint now.  There are some great discussions going on about safelist marketing and it’s a great place to get know your fellow Internet marketers in a social environment.

Ok, on to the stats…

Here’s how it works.  Every day I submit my ads to 40+ safelists and viral list builders promoting splash pages for my own Mister Safelist.  I am upgraded at most of these sites which typically allows me to send my ads more often than free members.  I also spend time every day reading emails for credits which allow me to send my ads to as many people as possible.  The stats below are the result of my own marketing efforts and your results will probably vary.

A bit of a light month for me.  I think I have identified a few problems with my campaigns and will try focusing on my higher converting splash pages to see if that helps to increase my results for next month.

That’s it for this month.

Don’t forget to join Marketing Checkpoint if you haven’t already and come get involved in the safelists discussions.  We would love to hear your thoughts.

As always the stats above are only provided to show what is working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to know for sure is to track your own results.  You can get the same link tracker I use from trck.me.
