Is The Streamline Funnel System a Scam?

Don’t worry.  This isn’t one of those advertisements disguised as a review where all I say is “of course it’s not a scam… now here’s my affiliate link”.

It’s been awhile since I have reviewed a new program like this.  Since I have been seeing ads for The Streamline Funnel System popping up everywhere I thought I would spend some time today checking it out. Afterall, I love “funnel systems” so maybe it was something worth joining.

I should probably point out that The Streamline Funnel System is currently in “pre-launch” until July 1st so there is pretty limited information as to how everything is going to work.  Still, that hasn’t stopped hundreds of marketers from promoting it all over the Internet as the “next big thing”.

Since the site is still in pre-launch there isn’t much info on the homepage.  Basically just a nice design by cheapminisites.com and a video from The Streamline Funnel System creator Paul Birdsall.

Inside the site there are a few videos explaining how the program is going to work and some advertising materials that you can use to recruit new members.  Oh, there’s is also a message that says “during pre-launch it’s crucial you personally sponsor people”.  No explanation why though.

Here’s what I have been able to gather about the way the program works.  Basically, Paul Birdsall has been hard at work for the last 14 months developing the latest Web 3.0 software that harvests double opt-in leads from the Internet.  For only $9.95/month you can send your ads to 10,000 of these exclusive leads every month.  Wow!

Ok, let’s break it down.  First, can someone please explain what exactly “Web 3.0” is?  I mean, we all know that “Web 2.0” was a huge buzz word a few years ago when social networking sites started taking off… but what the heck is “Web 3.0”?  I assume if I don’t understand it then it must be something pretty awesome.  Right?

Paul claims his software harvests double opt-in leads.  Does everybody understand what “double opt-in” means?  These are leads that have specifially given you permission to email them.  First they say “Please email me”, then you  say “are you sure?”, and they say “yes, I am positive”.  These are some of the best leads you can get.  Spending $1 to get one of these leads on your list is generally considered to be pretty good.  10,000 of these leads for $9.95 is extraordinary!  I have to admit though, something about using the word “harvest” makes me think these aren’t exactly double opt-in leads.

I should also point out that the leads you get from The Streamline Funnel System are “exclusive” leads.  That means every member will get 10,000 different leads.  Sweet!  But wait, maybe we should do some math first…

According to my user id about 5,000 people have joined The Streamline Funnel System so far.  It’s safe to say that by the way people are promoting this thing there will be at least another 1,000 people by the time they launch next week.  That’s 6,000 members.  Obviously not all 6,000 people are going to pay the $9.95 on launch day but lets say they did.  6,000 members x 10,000 = 60,000,000 exclusive double opt-in leads.  60 million!  That’s twice the population of Canada!

Obviously that is a lot of leads but Paul isn’t really clear about what you can do with these leads.  You see the way the “income opportunity” part of The Streamline Funnel System works is that when someone you refer to the site orders additional leads you earn a commission.  They aren’t saying how much these extra leads cost but since your commission on an additional 10,000 leads is $50 I am assuming it costs a bit more than that.  They seem to imply that your 10,000 leads will be used to automatically recruit new members to your Streamline Funnel System site.  When the leads sign-up and buy the additional leads you make free money.

I can understand why people would be willing to pay $9.95/month to try this but who’s is going to pay hundreds of dollars on extra lead packages without testing it out the first 10,000 leads?  I suppose if you get enough sign-ups it’s possible a few will try extra lead packages eventually but the videos talk about earning thousands of dollars a month and “all you have to do is join and push a button”.

I should mention that I also did a little research on Paul Birdsall who is the creator of The Streamline Funnel System and found some interesting information.  I don’t want to personally smear the guy on my blog but I did find information about quite a few other programs that he has run in the past which are obviously not making anybody any money today.  Anybody who is interested in joining The Streamline Funnel System should probably go to google and do a search for Paul Birdsall to get a better understanding of what they are getting into.

That’s about it.  So is The Streamline Funnel System a scam?  Since the site is still in pre-launch and I haven’t personally shelled out the money to try it I guess I can’t say for sure.  I will say that if it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck… it’s probably a duck.

  1. Thanks for this, I too have been on Google for Mr Birdsall. I wasn’t sure about the whole time to begin with but when I watched the video I had the same reaction, everyone gets 10,000 exclusive leads? You couldn’t give everyone 1000 exclusive leads. I will watch the webinar but I doubt I will shell out the $9.95. And thanks for not being one of those ‘now try my site’ reviews.

  2. This has been bugging me for the last two weeks..

The fact is that they either didn’t have their story straight.. ( the guys who are forming this 3.0 SFunnelsystem) or they “knew” exactly how to set it up… to attract even more Potential Distributors… They made the claim as I and many others came to understand …that in fact not only would we be able to hold our Distributor Position for 10 bucks but that we would buy 10,000 leads for ten bucks as well… come to find out that it is now $ 100 bucks for the “exclusive to each distributor”, links attached to the Paul Birdsall Branded Webpage FunnelSystem… which just runs in a streamline of distributors.., hence the “Streamline” name.

The other ‘mis-information/misunderstanding’ a lot of us had… trying to keep up with the webinars is the fact..that we were also ‘led’ to believe that initally we would be promoting the same service to these “blasted” 10,000… we would, in fact, be able to pitch later on to this group our own programs…. my floor service biz, or other MLM, or other program…etc, etc. which makes then , long term sense for any business minded person trying to generate leads to their existing program.. Now ‘DEBUNKED” and we will ‘never’ be able to pitch to that 10.000 list anything other than the opportunity to buy ‘their own’ webpage to continue the madness of selling even more “exclusive to you” list that promotes the SFSystem all over again… And that about put us back in “STUPID” land….. that doesn’t make for nothing but hot air to promote and make a gazillion dollars a month in fifteen years if it last that long….. any takers so far??

My brother and I are still waiting for the Hype to Show its FACE >

The thought of selling hot air to people that they sell as warm air..that eventually is sold as cool air ..is something to be seen.

Of course, it sounds nice at the beginning…. makes sense…then they put the other guys to explain it … and never once apologize for the former speakers..who promised things that were never meant to be.

Still Not convince,….though intially I signed up a bunch of people with the “original” hype , bells and whistles of 3.0… I have called them all to explain that they misinformed us… whether by design or mistake..remains to be seen.

  3. Its like: Give me 10 bucks and if you ever find another customer who will send me 99 bucks I ll give you 50% ! Perfect marketing idea ! The math of that is: 40000 subscribers x 10$=400 Thousend $. 10% will upgrade to the 99$package = 400 thousend $. Thats a lot of money made in a short time!

  4. I bit the poisoed apple, andthen the true taste burned from my tongue to my wallet. The 10,000 “brand new exclusive leads” after signing up are later describedas 10,000 being spread among 25 members, meaningthat al you get for the $39.95 is 400 leads. now all the math used in percentages in the hype of Pauls newest con game is that he was leaving out the factor of 25 recipiants to every 10,000 leads. This is a classic bait and switch, also false advertising, The program is faultering timewise, as the members site is worthless as a barometer of what is going on. The principals are not answering emails in regard oftheis problem. It seems that a canadian who has been online for sometime, for one has no conscience, and should not be using huge words like exclusive if indeed he does not know what the definition is in the Queens language. To anones knowledge, there has been no leads fed into the rotators. and they quote that not for five days afterthe $39.95 is paid. The problem is that 400 leads spread over a month is similarto utilizing a safe list, if that good!!! I have a delema in regard of the $9.99, an extra $39.95, and another $99.99 that I have paid for another lead package of 10,000 and 7 days later I show squat in my account. I would say to scrutinize thissite, andlisten to the answers inthemembers site before gettingburned for more than the $9.99 Which of course will be refunded double if paul cannmot provide you with a commission within a week. Slick trick, giveback$9,00 of the money you just gave him within 5 minutes of the time the price was paid, which means another fraudulent move,a fake rigged guarantee.minus $.99. They are unprepared to deliver what they offered promptly. He talks the talk, but cannot walk the walk!

  5. Hi
I agree with Laura this is not a ‘try my site review’ Thanks James about time there was an honest review site.

I was just about to push the order now button for Stramline Funnel System but something told me to check it out first. I’m glad I did thru your review site cos the only button I’ll be pushing now is the delete button.

I will definitelybe bookmarking your site for hopefully some more reviews as I feel they are honest and in ‘laymans terms’.

Take care and thanks again james.

  6. I agree with you and matter of fact I have written several emails and sent them out on a paid for viralURL campaign telling people about this rip off. Some people are either so stupid or greedy they can’t see the scam. But I have never received more response from an email. It really feels good when you stop them from making a little mistake. What I can’t believe is that it is still running. They are talking about a convention in Vegas. It will never happen. But if it does wouldn’t it be great if all the people he has ripped off showed up. Paul is a sleevze and a smart one. Even the forum is monitored so you can’t say anything bad about the system or Paul. Spread the word. I am afraid the only way to get your money back from Paul is through your credit card company. They will refund you for this. I plan on submitting an article to aol concerning this scam. If you have any input please email me at: emailmeat808@gmail.com

  7. after reading this i m toltally confused that i have subcribe the streamline funnel system or not. I have almost ready to subcribe it, don’t know why once i have to check with the good search so that i m second time loose my money. 8. to get the updated info on SFS aka Streamline Funnel System, there is a forum going and anyone can join.

You dont need to be a member of SFS to join us…

Free to join today before you go and spend any money on SFS…

  9. That guy is smart for stupid people like me he’s saying in that video he teaches over the internet. He teaches what? He never said a logical on convincing what that program does. I teach you too if what paul saying is teaching. That program does nothing except taking money from your credit card. That’s good for the owner. You must boycott that 3.0 web lie. He stole 20.00 bucks from me already and he wants 39.99 this month for what?

  10. I joined back on 7 July. Since then I have paid $99.99 two times (July 29 and Aug 29) for alleged 10,000 lead broadcasts. They charged my credit card automatically. I also paid $39.96 two times for the monthly fee to stay a member.
    The bad news:
    1. They have yet to send any lead broadcast for me.
    2. I have not been able to login to the members area in over a week because they made an error and thought I had not paid. Not true.
    3. I have not been paid even though my members back office shows I have money due.
I wish I had never heard of the Streamline Funnel System
    1. They have yet to

  11. After waiting two months my two 10k lead packages went out. But its been 10 days now and there are no earnings in my back office. I was just reading a previous post from Robin who said that the credit card company can get your money back. How is this done I hope its true. I want out of this scam

  12. The streamline funnel system is now off-line. Supposedly Shaklee shut them down because Birdsall and Pearson were using Shaklee’s name to help them rip people off with their SFS scam.

But, like most things evil, they do not die off easily. Birdsall and Pearson are also behind the newest fraud and scam to come along. http://www.automaticonlineprofits.com

Help warn people about this scam before Paul Birdsall and Chris Pearson have the opportunity to screw even more people.

  13. Please refund my money.

    10602 SFS Monthly Membership 9/8/2009
    4730 10K Package -> $ 99.99 7/30/2009
    11203 10K Package -> $ 99.99 8/30/2009
    12297 SFS Monthly Membership 9/15/200

    19/10/2009 INT’L 0041226560 SALES-HELPONLINE.C $39.96.

sorry but there is no refund, unless you were charged after canceling your membership and lead package subscription.

Since what you show below indicates both lead packages were processed, no refunds can be given.

    Never got any leads delivered.

Their secret is to take the money and keep on doing relaunches, stay away.

  14. Paul Birdsail is a con man,, huge ripoff,,, he is masking Streamline Funnel System as a leads generator for Skakley,,,

His whole system is a fruad. Only people making money are the ones that promote themselves,, and leave their downline with no product.
He,, his gistapo mods, and his wife should hall be in jail.

  15. The “NEW” Streamline Funnel System is just as bad. I signed up again (like a dummy) and got ripped off again. I paid the $39.96 for two months and they showed I had money due, I NEVER got paid. Now I am out forever from anything Paul Birdsall offers!

  16. I have had several e-mails through Viral Hosts selling the Streamline funnel system I never noticed New on it.

Expect to hear more from this con man.

Not just individuals but clubs and other organisations were conned by this man.
At least that stopped me from getting stung buy him for more than the $9.99 initial payment.
