The Best Safelists for June 2013

Hello June!

It feels like safelists and mailers have been getting a lot more attention recently.  Even compared to just a year ago.  It seems that more and more people are finding out what a powerful advertising medium they can be and I couldn’t be happier.

Last month saw the release of another new viral list builder called List Viral.  It was launched by Matt Baker with a little help from the guys at TimTech.  If you are a member of List Nerds you will notice the similiarities right away.  The design is simple and proves that you don’t need to have a million complicated options to get good results from a mailer.

The other big launch was the new social networking site from Darren Olander and Matt Koskho called Marketing Checkpoint.  This one is a little more than your typical mailer.  It’s a full fledged social networking site.  Sorta like Facebook for Internet marketers.  Members can earn “activity points” by being active within the community and those points can then be used to send ads through the mailer.  The mailer is still offline until June 14 so that they can build up their membership first.  It’s still definitely worth joining Marketing Checkpoint now.  There are some great discussions going on about safelist marketing and it’s a great place to get know your fellow Internet marketers in a social environment.

Ok, on to the stats…

Here’s how it works.  Every day I submit my ads to 40+ safelists and viral list builders promoting splash pages for my own Mister Safelist.  I am upgraded at most of these sites which typically allows me to send my ads more often than free members.  I also spend time every day reading emails for credits which allow me to send my ads to as many people as possible.  The stats below are the result of my own marketing efforts and your results will probably vary.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
Adchiever 4020 65.00% 13 0.32%

Elite Safelist 2508 57.00% 4 0.16%

Total May sign-ups (including those not shown above): 146

A bit of a light month for me.  I think I have identified a few problems with my campaigns and will try focusing on my higher converting splash pages to see if that helps to increase my results for next month.

That’s it for this month.

Don’t forget to join Marketing Checkpoint if you haven’t already and come get involved in the safelists discussions.  We would love to hear your thoughts.

As always the stats above are only provided to show what is working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to know for sure is to track your own results.  You can get the same link tracker I use from trck.me.

The Best Safelists for May 2013

Welcome to another fun filled month of tracking safelists and viral list builder stats.

Hooray!

I like to start with a little bit of news before getting to the stats and the big news from last month was the relaunch of List Adventure.  The old List Adventure has been chugging along for the past few years bringing decent results but it was… boring.  The new List Adventure is now owned by Jon Nastor and Bill Maloney who are well known for creating some of the most active mailers on the planet.  List Adventure has an all new design, some nice social branding features, activity rewards, and even their own version of badges.  It’s a lot of fun and the results have been great!

On to the stats!

Here’s how it works.  Every day (or as often as they will let me) I send out ads to 40+ safelists and viral list builders promoting splash pages for my own Mister Safelist.  No, you won’t see stats for Mister Safelist below but I hear it’s pretty good.  Yes, I am upgraded at most of the mailers and spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to let me send my ads to the maximum number of people.  The stats are the result of my own efforts.  Your results may vary.

The Best Safelists for December 2012

Hello and welcome to another fun-filled month of safelist and viral list builder advertising!

Before we get to the stats I would like to call attention to some of the newest list mailers that launched last month.  There were actually quite a few.  The biggest ones were “Mail Our List” from Steve Ayling, “Safelists.com” from Maryanne Myers, and “Massive Traffic List” from Beth Allen which offers a whopping 18 different ways to advertise your sites.  I don’t have a full month of test results available for these new programs yet but the results I do have can been seen in the stats below.

Speaking of stats…

I did something a little different last month.  Instead of promoting my usual Safelist Marketing Tactics squeeze pages I decided to switch things up and start promoting my own Mister Safelist.  The results were pretty dismal.  I received about half as many sign-ups as I did in the previous month.  I’m not sure if that means squeeze pages convert that much better than splash pages or that my new ads just sucked.  I think I am going to work on rewriting my ads today and try it for another month.  If my results are this bad again next month I will consider switching back to promoting my squeeze pages again.

Disclaimer: I submit to 40+ different safelists and viral list builders every day (or as often as they will let me) and spend a good deal of time every day reading emails to earn credits.  I have upgraded memberships at most of these sites which usually allow my ads to be seen by more members and more often.  The stats below are the results of my own marketing methods.  Your results may vary.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
Max Mailer Pro 8817 43.00% 28 0.32%
Your EZ List 1249 57.00% 8 0.64%
The Lead Magnet 1085 49.00% 5 0.46%
Adchiever 767 53.00% 4 0.52%
List Joe 794 70.00% 4 0.50%
TopTierMailer 1366 59.00% 4 0.29%
Safelists.com 269 50.00% 3 1.12%
Massive Traffic List 302 57.00% 3 0.99%
List Outbreak 676 48.00% 3 0.44%
Viral URL 34 82.00% 2 5.88%
List Bonus 120 52.00% 2 0.83%
Fast Cash Mailer 461 45.00% 2 0.43%
Genie Mailer 740 37.00% 2 0.27%
Viral List Builder Plus 323 48.00% 2 0.62%
European Safelist 126 38.00% 2 1.59%

Total November sign-ups (including mailers not shown here): 78

Yep, pretty dismal.  At least Max Mailer Pro is still crushing it for me.

I should point out that the stats for Safelists.com and Massive Traffic List were the result of less than 2 weeks of use.  Hopefully we will see those number grow even more after a full month of testing.

That’s all for this month.  Remember, the stats above are the results of my own marketing effort and are provided to show what is currently working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different but you will never know unless you are tracking your own ads.  You can get the exact same link tracker that I use from trck.me.

The Best Safelists for November 2012

Hello and welcome to November!

This is the place to find out what is going on in the world of safelists and viral list builders and see which sites are bringing me the best results.

The big news last month was the relaunch of List Joe.

List Joe was the biggest and baddest viral list builders for many years.  Earlier this year List Joe suffered a major database loss and had to be shut down.  Now it’s back with a brand new design and all new features.  So far my results with the new List Joe have been great.  You can view my stats below.  If you are not a member of the new List Joe yet please sign-up now.

That’s about it for news.  Let’s get to the stats…

Here’s how it works.  Every day I promote a series of lead capture pages to 30-40 different safelists and viral list builders.  My lead capture pages promote my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics.  I use a free link tracking service (TE Toolbox) to keep track of which safelists and viral list builders are bringing me the most sign-ups.  I then share those stats here on my blog every month.

Please keep in mind that these stats are the results of my own marketing efforts.  I have upgraded memberships on most safelists and viral list builders which usually allow me to send my ads more often and to more people.  Your results may vary.

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
State of the Art Mailer 3144 63.00% 16 0.51%

Viral Mail Profits 277 68.00% 3 1.08%
List Surfing 746 66.00% 3 0.40%
Viral List Builder Plus 2702 49.00% 3 0.11%

Total October sign-ups from all safelists and viral list builders (including those not listed here): 152

Next month I am going to switch things up and start promoting my own safelist (Mister Safelist) instead of my ebook.  We’ll see if that brings my stats up or knocks them back down.

Remember the stats I have listed above are provided to show which safelists and viral list builders are currently working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to find out what works best for you is to track your own ads.  You can get the same link tracker that I use to track my ads from TE Toolbox.

The Best Safelists for October 2012

It’s October!

The weather is finally cooling down and people are starting to get back to work.  There’s lots of exciting stuff going on in the safelist and viral list building world so let’s jump right into it.

First, the new site launches.

Let’s see.. were there any new launches last month… Hmm…

Well, there was a little site I launched called… Mister Safelist!

It’s true.  After more than 3 years of branding myself as “the safelist guy” I thought it was time to finally throw my hat into the ring and release the safelist that I always wanted to use.  Despite a few technical hiccups at launch so far the response has been fantastic!  In less than 2 weeks we have 1,147 active members.  There is also a big referral contest going on for the next two weeks where I am giving away lots of cash and prizes.  If you would like to join we would love to have you as a member of Mister Safelist.

There was also another big launch from the creator of Top Tier Mailer called Social Message Connect.  The site is a little bit different from your regular mailer.  It’s more like Facebook where you spend your credits to post your ads in a message feed.  I can’t really comment too much on this one yet because the feed part hasn’t opened yet (it’s opening this week).  I will say that I bought the 1-year upgrade offer without even trying the site because I know Matthew Graves and I know he only releases quality stuff.  If you haven’t joined yet Social Message Connect is well worth checking out.

Expect to see a lot of emails tomorrow about a major launch/relaunch from the Bweeble/List Bonus guys.  This one is going to be big!

Now let’s get to the stats…

Don’t expect to see my Mister Safelist ranked here any time soon.  My safelist stats are based on promoting lead capture pages for my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics to 30-40 safelists and viral list builders every day.  Since I give away copies of my book to everyone who joins Mister Safelist I probably wouldn’t get a lot of sign-ups promoting it there.

Keep in mind that the results below are a result of my own marketing efforts.  I have upgraded memberships at most of these sites which allow me to mail more often and reach more members.  The stats are only meant as a guide to show you what is currently working best for me.  Your results my vary.

Total September sign-ups from all safelists and viral list builders (including those not listed here): 185

A good month with solid numbers from all of the top sites.  Congrats to Viral Nugget for finally stealing the top site away from Bweeble.  In fact, Darren also owns Adchiever so he has really put the one-two punch on my stats this month.  Great job!  I’m also noticing that List Bonus and Bweeble are by the same owners too.  I guess that says a lot about the quality of the owner going a long way towards creating a quality website.

That’s all for this month.  Remember to watch your email tomorrow for the big launch/relaunch that’s happening.  And don’t forget to join Mister Safelist!  I’ve got so many big things planned for this site that it’s not even funny.  Remember, the stats above are my own stats.  What works best for me might be something completely different from what works best for you.  The only way you will ever know is if you are tracking your own results!  You can get the same link tracker I use for free from TE Toolbox.
